Hello
From the companion and companion interaction stand point?
ME3 is the best ME1 and 2 are pretty much the same and very good
Story and story telling
I think they are all just as good but for different reason and they are quite hard to compare.
I would give an edge to ME3 story.
I like that despites your best effort you are loosing. I like the change of focus at the end, even the actual option presented by the ending. As well it is good to see Shep having doubts. The only let down is the lack of context and presentation in the ending and the fact that part of the end sequence just doesn’t make sense but I think the story is the best.
Combat/game play
ME1>ME2>ME3
Combat is simplistic and fun in all the series. ME2 is the easiest and is a bit like shooting rats in a barrel. ME3 play style brings me back to the Wolfenstein 3D time albeit with much better graphic.
You know the old run-and-shoot with a narrow FOV. I can’t help seeing shepherd grinning when he/she get a Gatling gun and Cerberus troops dying word being “arch , mein elusive Man”. And I miss the mini games hence the order
Production enjoyment
ME2 really delivers on the different ending and you decision affecting the story.
ME1 does not have the same e player empowerment effect but I find the combat more enjoyable.
ME3 by far the worse of the series.
It would really have been the best if the ending had been presented with context, being influenced by the play through and bring closure about the companion.

Characters: ME2
Writing: ME3
Story: ME1*
'Feel': ME1 or ME3
Gameplay: ME3
Graphics/sound/other technical stuff: ME3
I can't decide which I like the most.
(*if the ending lived up to the rest, ME3 would have the best story but as it is I think ME1's plot just about edges it. ME3 has a lot of bits that are better written and more emotional than ME1 or ME2, but the ending is a big dampener)

For the single player story - ME2 - ME3 - ME1.
But for gameplay - ME3 - ME2 - ME1.
If ME2 had the expanded customization options that ME3 has, it would be the best IMO.
The end of ME3 just killed the story for me as well.

ME1>2>3
ME1 presented this great, expansive new universe to explore and totally sucked me in. Sure, the combat was kind of wonky. But the story was fantastic and the possibilities felt endless.
ME2 made the combat better, but at the expense of taking what ME1 presented and making it smaller and more limited. The Citadel went from this massive awe-inspiring hub of galactic civilization to this cramped, dirty little station. The goal went from solving this great mystery and rescuing the galaxy from a rogue madman to protecting some colonies for some devious organization. The saving grace for me was the characters. I LOVED Jack and liked pretty much all of the other squadmated a lot.
ME3 felt like a good merger of combat and customization, but the endings ruin the story. They makes no sense at all and render all of your past decisions moot since they don't impact the endings at all. And the endings are all essentially the same.

The ending ruined almost the whole story for me, couple that with a disappointing photoshop of my beloved Tali's face, and ME3 deserves to be last on this list IMO
/agree on all
Agree. ME3 had many issues, not just the ending. Great story in ME1, weak gameplay, recycled environments. ME2 great story, best squadmates, best gameplay.

If I leave ME3's ending out, then it's like this:
ME3 > ME2 > ME
ME3 > ME2 > ME

ME3 was perfect for me... untill the ending. I loved the banters, better fights, higher difficulty, dramatic approach etc. Tweaks in fighting system are much appreciated.
ME2 was great, it was like "Dirty Dozen". Awesome characters, loyalty missions, kinda lacking when it comes to skills system and equipment, but great overall.
ME1 was cool, but i want to forget about the messy backpack, over 9000 skills and that damned film grain.

Difficult to say. The entire trilogy was just one large story. In terms of gameplay mechanics, ME3 reigns supreme. In terms of story, it's ME1. In terms of characters, it's a solid tie between all of them.

1: ME1
2: ME3
ME2: should never have had happened, instead 3 should be 2 and 3 should be what happened after the catalyst didnt work.. something along those lines.
ME2 could have been a fine stand alone game with other characters than Shep and crew

Story:
ME1=ME3 (minus the last 15 mins)>>ME2
ME1>ME2>>ME3(With the last 15 mins)
Gameplay Mechanics:
ME3>ME2>ME1
Inventory system:
ME2>ME3>ME1
Vehicle Mechanics (Without the bad terrain maps of ME1):
ME1>ME2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ME3
Minigames:
ME3>ME2>>ME1
I would have rated ME1 as the best in all if it just had the mechanics from ME3 and inventory system of ME2 or ME3.
