I don't think so. Miranda showed up in the Mass Effect 2 trailer. Ashley was in the Mass Effect 3 trailer. I think Romance is one of the things that is going to remain uncannon through the series.

Assuming you have them and assuming they live. Vega's a soldier because you can't guarentee Ashley or Garrus will be alive, and EDI's a squaddie because you can't guarentee that Garrus, Tali or Kaidan are alive. Liara alone fills the 'biotic' portion.

Maybe that could be the reason bioware removed virmire 2.0? As in the worst case senario, you only have liara edi and vegas as squad mates, allowing liara to die may leave players with no biotic ability at all

That's my assumption at this point, and also the reason why I didn't judge BioWare too harshly when EDI became a tech expert. It was either that, or a completely new character, and EDI at least provided interesting insight and lols into dialogue. Trying to shoehorn another new character to meet at this point would have made things worse.

But who cares? You can romance who you want. Until they come out and say "You HAVE to romance Liara!" then it really doesn't matter.

There might not be a "canon" LI, but she sure is the LI they nudge you towards and give you the most content for choosing.

Yeah, I guess. Because Ashley was nothing but a god damn pain in my ass for 3/4ths of the game. And Liara's strictly friend stuff was genuinely touching and endearing.

She probably is the "canon" LI but...I dunno I did romance her in ME1, although I was pretty bummed at the time you couldn't romance Tali. Then I really loved the Tali romance in 2 so...I dropped Liara...I felt bad turning her down in 3 but Tali is just, Tali. I originally was going to do a second playthrough where I romanced Liara but..well I am sure everybody knows why I would not do a SECOND playthrough.

Though I didn't like Bioware playing favorites, there are way more scenes with Liara than say Garrus or Tali...I have heard the same about the VS (Ash or Kaiden). Should be balanced imo, like ME2!

Absoutely. If people are still denying canon Shepard after Mae3 essentially railroads your character into a specific one through the auto dialogue and forced friendships, then I don't know what to tell you.

Yes, Liara is the pet character of BW since ME1 and has consistantly been at the forefront from ME1 to ME3. She gets the most screen time, consistantly enters the spotlight and ultimately overshadows all the other LIs.

I think it would be Ashley. Liara seemed a little bit ''hidden''. first time I ran the game I didn't know we could bang this HAWT AS **** blue adorable alien... and you really had to go pretty deep in your friendly relationship that you can leave the friendzone and enjoy her tight blue butt...

for Kaidan/Ashley.. it was like ''oh, hey, here's Carth Onasi and Bastilla Shan's Equivalent... cool...''

Well, she did play a huge roll in bringing Shepard back from the dead. She really cares about the Commander, regardless of whether you romance her, or not.

theres been some rumors floating around they'll release a LI dlc pack at some point. i think that could be the best idea for dlc they've ever had.
