But they would probably need separate skill tree, fighting with polearms is different than fighting with 2h axes/swords.

I would like to dual wield large fish. Preferable still alive. Either fish, or one of those toy hammers for little kids that make the squeaky sound every time you hit something with it. That would be awesome. I would want that to be an over-sized 2h'er though.
Yeah, and a 2W fan, a ranged slingshot and an 2H red japan flag,
Therefore, being serious:
I like to see a claw/iron knuckes weapon style, posibly DW. The bare hands animation can be used to that. Kind of a boxer or the D2 assasin.
I also see somewhere a brilliant player who puts his monk class, even with specializations, but i rather prefer weapon style, and this makes both.
Apart from spears i like to see a how works a whip style ( no, take off your tight leather uniform, i mean bull whips or chain whips, like in the classic castlevania series) .
We can include some cool abilities like disarm or tie the enemies. Can be made some long range atacks too (shale can do ranged atacks too with his "weapon") and such.
lets put our hat and whip and search for the lost ark, my friend

The reason I want it? It's what I do at my Belegarath practices now. I go in with a single longsword and disarm or pick up fallen weapons/shields/javalins. It's a more dynamic style of combat and your opponent's tactical choice of not killing you early can rapidly go from good to insanely horrible.

I'd like to see a "One Handed" weapon tree, you'd fight with one 1h weapon and no shield. Most of the talents would be grapples, punchs etc that come from your free hand. It'd basically be for warriors and rougues that want to CC and Disrupt targets.
Seconded. I'd love a 1 handed weapon tree...and I'd love to see a rapier so I can play a proper duelist.
Give me a passive bonus to Defense ( like TWF ), a couple of interesting attacks and I'll buy the DLC without further questions
BTW...any chance we'll see a clothes vendor in this game sooner or later?

What I personally want to see:
Flails + Warhammers + Clubs (to go with Maces)
Spears + Pikes + Halberds + Glaives (to go with the 2H stuff)
Seriously, in many tales and legends Spears are used to skewer monsters like Dragons. Deathblows for Spears could be awesome! For humanoid enemies you could impale them through the chest and lift them bodily over the top of your head, flinging their carcass off the blade.
For Ogres and Dragons, you could jump up on them and ram them down their throats, through their skulls, through their spines.
Also, I would change 2H animations to be more realistic, i.e faster, and more fluid. I don't like 2H weapons being portrayed as clumsy and hefty because they aren't really.

Quarterstaff - both warrior/rogue usage ones and mage ones. So can do a decent cleric style class without resorting having to resort to just maces. Would probably need to be tied in with a polearm/spear option
Flail - to add to the dual wield and sword/axe/mace & shield choices of fighting... although can't see it being added as it just wouldn't look right with regard ogre/dragon slaying
Origin Wise
Qunari - I know someone else has mentioned this, but I have an idea for it too, basically you start off as one of Sten's fellow Qunari scouts and you actually get to meet Sten in your Origin which culminates in the fight Sten talks of in the lead up to his personal quest. Only unlike Sten your found by Duncan and in a mutual agreement of you wanting to find out about the darkspawn and the blight, you signup as a Grey Warden thanks to Duncan saving your life.
I suppose the issue is, that if your Qunari trained the same way Sten did, then there are some of the quests you wouldn't really do, ashes springs to mind as obvious seeing how Sten finds doing this pointless, Redcliffe defence, of course you don't have to do and if on mindset that you know your people will eventually try conquering Ferelden it works for you NOT to help defend it. But I suppose it would make for some very interesting party choices, there is no way Wynne, Morrigan or Leliana would be given option to join the party, well maybe Morrigan to get out of the Wilds but when get to Lothering there would need to be an option to say "Begone woman, go back to your wilds" or something like that. Doubt a Qunari would have Oghren in their group, nor Shale (don't recall Sten thinking much of Shale when first met) and Zev would no doubt be killed on site. So it'd be a party of Qunari PC, Sten, Alastair and Wardog

I would like to see a Monk/Cleric in a future expansion or DLC. Like EQ had. Loved my Monk!<3

Fist weapons like knuckles could happen. Though the talent tree for them may become an interesting concuction.
