This went from actual discussion on possible ways to bring the toolkit to the PS3 to a PC is better than PS3 argument in only two pages. Great job at derailing the thread.

this comes from the guy who was contradicting himself several pages back about being alienated for having to purchase the PC version of the game to get the toolkit...but was perfectly fine to tell people that it's their problem if they don't have a mouse and keyboard for the game if it REQUIRED one...
safe for me to do this again

Nwalya42 how did the beta release of the toolset work?
and c would not be a 3rd point but more of a resoning based on a and b, your not making 3 point just 1 based on 2 things
the forum hasnt been on the OT in a long time i was tring to bring it back
all thats hapopign here now is
pc play "its for pc you guys are dump toolset for pc"
non-pc play "why would bioware limit the none pc players"
pc play "its for pc you guys are dump toolset for pc"
non-pc player "well the add was misleading is there any posable way for ps3 player to play the toolset with out paing more for the pc vr"
pc play "its for pc you guys are dump toolset for pc"
non-pc player "we now it not for pc we just saing we are being left out of the Bioware coumity"
pc play "its for pc you guys are dump toolset for pc"
person with no input "facepalm"
pc play "its for pc you guys are dump toolset for pc"
pc play "its for pc you guys are dump toolset for pc"
the content made by this toolset was a huge selling point to me, to get the game love the game then be told i don't get all of it cuz i Paid $10 more for it, doesn't feel right, personally im happy that bioware is willing to make an efort to convert some of the content for us.. we get lonly scrapes of the PC players left overs and if BioWare whom seemingly prides it self on it community, and feel this dragon age community should inc the PS3 and XBox360 user should care about the concers of the ps3 users
and if ppl who have nothing better to do then repeat the same thing over and over tainting the views of the PS3 players on this forum its counter helpfull to the goal of making a Dragon age community.
but if bioware just wants a PC only community and some suckers form PS3 and 360 to buy there game to add to total sales i would like to knwo that now so i never buy an other Bioware game again.
Mr.Melo and Mr.Priestly seem to like the idea of Ps3 and 360 players wanting to be a part of it Mr.Smith i don't get much of a vibe one way or the other from

Is it helpful to wish someone's system to break?
But I digress, keep making yourself look like a trolling idiot when you ask for an XBOX360 error to happen on our PS3s.

Paging kills performance. With only 256 meg of usable RAM (remember that half of it is set aside as graphics memory and so is pretty much off-limits for most of the toolset), you'd likely not be able to fit both the resource you're using, and the local memory required for the particular tool you're using on it, in memory at the same time.
In other words, your hard disk would be churning away constantly, and you'd be talking about blocking for seconds for an operation as simple as panning the view around an area. When you start to actually manipulate stuff, it gets even worse.
If you want to see what it would be like, find a friend with the PC version of DA, and install the toolset on something with 512 meg of RAM. Or even 768 meg, if you want to compensate for what the OS takes up.

however allowing people to download and mod to the PC and then bake content for consoles would probably work the best.
and for comparisions to EPIC, well they made the UT3 engine to work on everything and it does pretty well. as far as getting content on to the ps3, well it already happened once so it can happen again. its really up to sony

While we are ivestigating ways that created content may come to the console

No, asking for a XBOX360 error to happen to people in a PS3 forum means that he was wanting a XBOX360 error to happen on a PS3 which would be more impossible than Bioware developing a toolkit to work on a PS3, which was the only system addressed in the original post.
BTW I'd rather get answers from someone who works at Bioware than someone who trolls PS3 forums.
