Hi!
I have a serious bug whenever I try to play the mission given to you by Wrex, "Investigate the Missing Scouts" .
I select the mission in the galaxy map, and it sends me to the level up and gun select screens, and then I press confirm to start the mission.
The intro movie starts, with whatever side character I brought with me saying, "What's the situation Commander" or something to that effect. Then the sound completely shuts off but the movie continues playing until the end.
At the end of the movie, the screen goes black. I can press escape and it brings up the menu, but if I press any buttons the game freezes and crashes.
If I don't press anything the game freezes and crashes.
If I press the movement keys I can hear my character move even though I can't see anything, but eventually it says "You have failed the mission" and if I press resume, load, or exit the game freezes and crashes.
What I have tried:
Updated to latest Video Drivers
Updated Audio Drivers
Stopped all other programs
Can anyone help me??
Thank you,
Jon

No other problems, every other mission works fine. I have 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM I just bought recently. All my other games work fine.

I even tweeted @masseffect, and got: "talk to our live game advisor". I will wait, as I will not be able to play at all until next weekend, and I really hope by then there is a patch or something.

I can get as far as chasing off the second harvester before the game locks up and crashes to the desktop. Then I have to manually reset the PC because the ME3 process will not end by itself, or via the Task Manager, and prevents me from doing anything else with the PC.
I can stay in the area where I can see the espace pod across the gap for as long as I want, but as soon as I leave and drop down from the next ledge, the game will lock and crash within 10-30 seconds.
Reloading an earlier save and navigating back to the planet makes no difference. Completing the other mission on trhe planet first, or not doing it at all before this mission makes no difference. Choice of companions makes no difference.
Consistent and reproducable 100% of the time.

It's so ridiculous it's almost comical.
Almost.
EA tells you tough sh*t, go post here, but this site specicially states that the forum is for player to player assistance only.
Apparently no one wants to take any responsibility, but they have no problems taking the money.

That's what I noticed too. You think a mod or someone would take notice and respond in this thread...but it's like we aren't even here :-/

Yeah. Until there is some help, the game is unplayable, as I do not want to skip the mission.

First of all I doubt I'll be able to help fix the problem BUT it may help others if you give details:
1. What version of the game your running 1.0 or 1.1 (Some people don't have auto update enabled)
2. PC Spec's
3. Is your copy of ME3 a DVD or digital download and/or a special edition(Deluxe/Collector's)

Just a random thought, but I believe there was another thread where someone was having frame rate issues due to the Origin in-game overlay. Try disabling that to see if, by some strange chance, it's related.

May sound like a stupid question but did you try redownloading and installing the game?
Everything else looks fine for running it.
Unfortunately I am unable to offer any other info except to say that i had no problems with the game in multiple playthroughs so anyone having these problems should look for similarities in each others system specs or game versions.
@ketsuke and Valethar
Are your versions of the game digital downloads as well? (If so may be a problem with the files)

I haven't tried that as of yet, my internet connection isn't exactly stellar so it takes me awhile to download the game. Guess I will give that a shot when I get home today.

I am having the exact same problem. Digital Deluxe version. v1.01.
This is really disappointing, as I have been waiting since ME1 to find out what happens with the Rachni Queen.

I just spoke with their chat support, and they recommended doing a repair via Origin. I did this, and it fixed the problem. I don't know why so many of us would have the same corrupted file, but doing the repair fixed the dialog audio and freezing problem for me.

First repair changed nothing. Think I may try a reinstall from the disks this time.
10 gig download at nearly 4 hours a pop to 'repair. Apparently 'repair' to them means completely reinstall
Origin sucks.....
That said, I think it is indeed a corruption issue. I attempted to clone my drive to a larger one, and every error message that came up involved a corrupt file that could not be read, and every one of those came from the ME3 directory.

When I tried repair, Origin downloaded about 28MB of data and patched the game. The mission is good to go now.
