Me 1 2 and 3 spoliers just so you know.

You fight the end game in ME1 one of the goals is to get rid of Saren so you can actually reactivate the Relay.. to let the alliance fleet into the fight.

In ME3 the reapers take the citadel move it to earth.. because the allied races are planning an attack and have a super weapon that will use the Citadel to deal with the Reapers once and for all..

So what do THESE superintelligent organic machines decide to do?

THey decide NOT to deactivate the gate system allowing the Allied races fleet and this superweapon to ENTER the same star system as the Citadel.

Ohh yeah...

See the Logic fail.. its just one of the many.

Me1-Sov tells Shep that the Geth are of no consequence.
Me2-Legion tells Shep the Geth are outside the Reapers plans
Me3-Reapers help the Geth by turning them superintelligent(as smart as they are) so they can destroy the Quarians.

Me3-Ending Reapers exist to save organic life from Sythetic, they do this by destroying Organic Civilizations.. and apparently upgrading Synthetic life so its as smart as they are.

EPIC LOGIC FAIL APROACHING
LOGIC IS A REQUIRED PART OF ANY STORY

Casey Hudson WANTED THIS ENDING....
"I didn’t want the game to be forgettable"
It wont be.

"and even right down to the sort of polarizing reaction that the ends
have had with people–debating what the endings mean and what’s going to
happen next"
Errr.. well they are debating WHY the ending fails to follow preceading established law and facts of the ME Universe.....
Does that count?

Bioware seems to think people are not happy the ending because its not a happy ending?

They seem to entirely fail to understand that people expect a ending to a three game Saga actually be based on the preceeding events in the 3 games and the imformation presented.
They expect this, and they happen to have a RIGHT to it, because they PAID for the game, and a ENDING that actually ties in with the game itself and the previous games is an EXPECTED part of the product.

Not to have everything IGNORED.

Masseffect 3 and bioware will be remembered.

I will also not be buying any game Casey Hudson worked on from this point.
Or infact Bioware.
They can keep making games with "polarizing endings" and I will take my money elsewhere and buy games with endings that actually follow the logic of the Universe they exist in rather that exist as a seperate nonsensical enity negating all established facts.

About the ONLY grounds I can give any Kudos on is.

Destroying the Entire ME Universe so that no more games, or movies.. can be made after ME3 timeline.. just rocks.
Not something I would expect from EA.. to throw away millions maybe even billions in dollars of movies/books/games.

Sure you could have a book/story/movie about Civilization rebuilding.. but its no longer ME, and plenty of games/movies/books have done that Post Apocalyptic world thing already.
