Recently, I started playing the (Drell) Vanguard. Pretty fun, and you gotta constantly know what you're doing. But sometimes its impossible. Lately I've experienced this thing where the bionic charge simply won't activate when pressed, and that usually means death right away when surrounded. I know for certain that the cooldown is gone, and it should be ready to activate again. The fix is usually activating 'pull', but that's far from possible in most situations. This is pretty annoying since people already have a grudge against vanguards, and suddenly you're the bad guy when this happen. I haven't experienced it with any other class or power so far.

Had it as well. I thought it was because my entire biotic power had been depleted or the enemy was hidden behind stuffs too well.

I thought so too, but this happens when I rapidly press the powerbutton, which usually means in very tight situations, where the enemy is just in front of me.

happened to me when i went into other people's games, never when i hosted one myself. must be a lag issue

The vanguard is insanely glitchy, this is 3rd crippling glitch i've heard about them. Day 1 DLC but no day one patch. My advice is just grab a different class until theres a patch

This has happened a couple of times for me, but it is usually brief.

Activating any other power seems to fix it.

I've made numerous threads addressing this issue. It's worse for the vanguard because you're so reliant on that move to get out of trouble.

It also happens in the campaign - I've had the power wheel stop working for an entire mission before, depriving me of my allies' powers.

Yeah I assumed it would happen for any class if any power would be spammed. I don't think it is a connection issue, but I haven't hosted a game yet, so I wouldn't know. The connection can be very troubling at times, but I think that's a general issue, and not because the player necessarily have a bad connection. My friend with even an even larger broadband has more trouble than I do. He only played the demo, though.

But, yeah, the other classes can be just as fun, so that's the best solution yet.

Same issue here. An action like firing a weapon allows you to target normally - if you have the spare seconds for reaction. Also expect this to be due to lag - sometimes it isn't there whole game.

Been working down the list of classes, finally got to Vanguard today and... eesh. This is why you don't shoehorn a game designed for single player into multiplayer. Had to bail on two games due to this bug because I refuse to sit there and leech on other people's efforts.

Yeah... Among other Vanguard bugs, it's pretty horrible to play as one. Out of the last three games or so, every one of them had something go horribly wrong.

One game had the "suddenly you can't use powers/weapons don't do damage/enemies ignore you like thin air" bug, and unsurprisingly we died soon after.

Another had this one, when playing a Human Vanguard and spamming nova in the middle of some Geth, you really can't afford Charge not working. Although I wasn't aware that shooting a weapon should help, it's good to know. But even it it does, it's still gonna suck when surrounded...

Worst thing is, both of these are very common. I run into these regularly, on PC, with a good internet connection. About 50% of the games have something go wrong with the Vanguard, it's really quite unplayable.

MASSIVE BUMP

I'm just doing the Geth Dreadnought mission and I'm throwing my mouse against the wall in anger right now.

I'm trying to charge an enemy, doesn't matter if Huner, Trooper, Rocket Trooper, whatever Biotic charge will not engage. 
The enemy will have the red box around them and I will hit MB5 for biotic charge, NOTHING HAPPENS, it makes the "ding" noise and the icon flashes as it would normally, no cooldown engages, just nothing at all happens. You do still get the little closing reticule in the box to indicate you have actually pressed it however.

I have tested this be reasssigning keys, holding the pause menu and clicking on the skill, I've done everything and it only every seems to happen with Geth. 

Please fix this because multiplayer is also getting really annoying. I worry everytime I enter random matchmaking for the XP bonus because if I get Geth, I lose.

Fix this ASAP!
