One of the reasons to replay the ME games is to see all the endings but it turns out that can't be done in ME3 because you have to play Mulitplayer in order to get enough EMS to unlock more then one ending i really don't think this is fair and it limits the value of the game to people like me.

Let me explain I live in a part of the country where there is no way to get Highspeed internet all we have is dial up and while I can download patches at a library I can't take my computer there to play mulitplayer. What is more i really don't think i should have to in order to unlock the endings to a series that up until now has been single player only.

Look I understand that you were trying to do something new and that a lot of places have highspeed now but for those of us who are fans and are stuck with out it would it be too much trouble to put out a patch that would some how remove the requirement for multiplayer collected EMS?

thank you for your time and hard work.

Taking into account that there is a sticky in non-spoiler forum from Jarrett Lee, Bioware's Senior Marketing Manager, stating wrongly that you don't need to play multi to get enough EMS, I don't think your plea will get any sensible response from them. I'm not sure if this is a f@ck up on their part or they put this misinformation there on purpose, but one way or another they just want to push peple to play multi and buy multiplayer DLCs which will come soon. Business as usual.

Agreed. I don't see how they can keep insisting you don't have to play multiplayer when you do. OH WAIT... you can get over 10000 EMS if you play under a New Game+ so that must be what they mean.

Still, they need to FIX the multiplayer hacking issues. As it stands, if a player hacks it to get more credits and you end up in a game wit them, you'll get more credits too which if you spend those 'hacked' credits can get your account banned (which doesn't just lock you out of MP, but it locks you out of EVERY EA game even single player that requires an EA account for verification, that being ME2, ME3, Dragon Age 1 and 2, many others)

So not only did they lie about number of endings but they lied about not needing Multiplayer to get them. Wel that does it I don't buy from peop,le who lie to me.  Either Bioware fixes both of these things or they don't get another cent of my money.

Bioware I have been a fan since the late 90s please don't screw up so bad that you lose my money.  Please release a patch to fix this.

i've easily gotten 5.5k EMS without multiplayer

and the highest guess that anyone's given to get the "perfect" ending is around 5k. Get some reputation and hit those paragon/renegade options

Is there a site where I can get a list of all the sidequests and stuff like that because I played every Sidequest i could find and I could only get it into the upper 3ks.

@ gunsagogo
i think you are confusing War Assets with Effective Military Strength. It's no problem getting 7000+ War Assets, but without Multiplayer the EMS will stay below 4000

Yeah it's the EMS that has kept me from getting all the endings.

Nioware could you at least explain why you thought making people play multiplayer was a good idea? I mean not every Mass Effect fan is a Call of Duty fan.

No, you haven't gotten 5.5k EMS without multiplayer (which would require 11k Total Military Strength).
And the highest "guess" that anyone's given to the "perfect" ending is 4k EMS (8k TMS offline) with maxed out Paragon/Renegade or 5k EMS (10k TMS offline) without.

From now on, we should refer to TMS alone, since that's the highest displayed number, avoiding any more confusion between the two terms.

Yeah, people are that stupid. OH WAIT... You don't know what you're talking about.

This is wrong in two measures, once again confusing EMS with TMS (20k TMS is a whole new concept), and stating that NG+ offers more War Assets. It doesn't. And if you'd like to argue that it does, point out to us inferior folks which War Asset was updated so we can confirm it or disprove it.

Refrain from these ignorant* posts in the future. This is officialy a touchy subject, the dozens of people claiming that it's possible to beat 8.000TMS - and implying those who haven't are doing something wrong - are openly mocking the few of us running the games and tons of different choices on ME1-ME2-ME3 trying to make it possible.

Facts are, so far, no-one has publicly reached 8.000TMS offline without cheating, the required score to get the special ending (together with a perfect Paragon/Renegade reputation) and, surprising that no-one mentions, the Master & Commander accomplishment (which appears to require an effective military strength of 4.000).

*This is not a hard insult. Ignorance is a state of being uninformed/lacking or having supersticial knowledge of the discussed subject, it's applicable.

Furthermore, both sides of these arguments are wrong with stating absolutes so early after release. I dare say that so far the only thing you can know for certain is that you can't reach 8.000TMS without imports, and even with imports it's definitely not easy. I'd be pretty mind-blown if we could only reach it with the best possible choices over all 3 games (which would obviously be a mix of Paragon and Renegade, unlike what most people do) - And I'd LOVE the game if this were true.

Sounds more likely, however, that it's an unintended mess up on Bioware's end (enough with conspiracy theories), and we'd definitely appreciate an actual reply on the subject by someone with the knowledge for it.

Until then, someone please refer to a thread where people are working towards the 8.000 instead of claiming the possibility or impossibility of the feat with nothing to back it up.

For future player replies on this, a memsnippet of what you are replying for or against.
SUBJECT: Achieving the special ending playing offline.
FACT #1: It is required a minimum of 4.000 EMS (Effective Military Strength).
FACT #2: EMS is calculated through: TMS (Total Military Strength) * WR (War Readiness).
FACT #3: The WR is an unmovable 50%.
CONCLUSION: Offline EMS = 50% of TMS. Required minimum: 8.000 TMS.
NOT A SUBJECT: Why play the game offline.
NOT A SUBJECT: Game editors, cheating in general.

I know what you mean. My net connection is slower than the USPS, so mp is not an option. So, i just had to edit the .bin file to give me the WR i needed to get the 3 endings....works very well
