I dunno, despite the negative reviews and such concerning the issue.
Reddit is spamming with ME3 conversation.
4Chan /v/ is spammed with ME3 discussion.

Every major gaming site is talking about it.
Forbes has articles about it, their Twitter is being hammered, there have been several #tags in twitter about ME3 trending.

Don't even pretend that if they released an ending where this whole event makes sense you wouldn't come full circle and give them a pat on the back for being so tricky.

Quite frankly I think this is much more likely an elaborate plan to surprise everyone with the ending to one of the most celebrated videogame worlds, than incompetence.

All those poor souls without internet connection would have bought a game without an actual ending. Depressing, really.

PC users require an internet connection just to install it.
It's come to the point that people not connected to the internet just aren't considered.

Kind of like how payphones are disappearing, tho disappearing pay phones are more of an issue.

Yeah, unless the "stuff they are planning" involves a fix to that complete fragging cop-out of an ending, I frankly don't give a crap.

I've been thinking about this.  Possible to encrypt a bunch of resources on an unused portion of the play disk?

Not getting my hopes up. And I'm certainly not paying for anything. If true, it better damn be free.

This is why the indoctrination theory makes no sense. It COULD be argued from a lore perspective, but from a business perspective, Bioware have to be out of their god damn minds to do it.

Why would they release "new classes" at the utmost end of the final game of the trilogy? Doesn't that seem fishy to anyone? And how would they fit 2 new "sets of enemies" (which isn't 2 enemies, it's SETS which means a lot of enemies) into the ending? The crucible is primed, Harbringer is nearby, how could two sets of enemies (more than 2 enemies, probably 6-10 at least, new enemies) fit into that moment and the reapers losing?

The picture, which is the strongest argument of the rumor, shows Geth, Batarian, Krogan, and Asari... which are definitely by no means "new" in the context of the game... they are, however, "new" for MP -- which is something Bioware will definitely develop.  It's the feature of the game that is meant to have players keep playing... they NEED to introduce new things to MP.  As far as the "2 new sets of enemies," who knows how much truth there is to that.

The text box isn't connected to the picture.  The picture has been around before this rumor was brought up.  In the text, it's talking about "the truth" SP not MP.  While I guess it's possible that that segment of the rumor is about MP, it isn't very clear about that.

Honest question: how many people actually play games without an internet connection anymore? I understand bandwidth limits in rural areas, but with patches and bug fixes and such modern gaming pretty much relies on you having an internet connection to get the optimum experience even WITHOUT DLC.

I would hazard a guess that "what about people without internet?" isn't much of a factor in large game companies planning these days.

I agree. And I got to thinking that the DLC for ME3 could be like the expansion pack Dragon Age: Origins Awakening. But bigger. Now you've got to bring peace to all the othere races and restore the counsel. You've got the Krogon, Aria and the three merc groups, and more all going at it for survival and power.

what you suggest would be an incredibly ballsy move by bioware. not including the ending in their own game.

I think the "ending" would have been a great part of 9/10ths of the game and you would think it is over but then continued. THAT would have been an unforgettable ending. But to have fans WAIT for it to come by is just horrible.

I was thinking/hoping the same thing, perhaps a small "update" to be released at a later date that unlocks the rest of the game. But now...I just don't know...Image IPB
