You mean people who pirated the game?

Or... what if by "Unforgettable" they meant having an ending that was a major letdown on purpose... you know... to spur conversation among fans?Image IPB

This is one scenario where it's best to remain pessimistic and continue bashing Bioware's decision.

Seriously, going the Neon Genesis Evangelion or Lost route and then moaning about the fans "not getting it" is and always will be stupid on the writers part.

I really hope it's true. A lot of the last 15 mins of gameplay and the cinematic at the end just doesn't make sense. The elements that they used after the beam (slow motion, foggy black swirls in the background, plus other suspicious elements) go back to shepard's dream state. Plus, the game requires internet connection for a reason. Who knows maybe they're planning on a massive multiplayer world event against reapers where we all get to join in. Just a thought. But I think BioWare has far greater writers to let this happen with their most popular game. It's risky, but if they nail it... they'll be the gods of interactive storytelling, imo.

However much I doubt it, I still hope it's true.

God do I hope it's true...

Well, he did say to hold on to your ME3 saves, and I don't think they are that naive to think Omega or any other side quest DLC will quell the uproar the "ending" has caused.

Sounds like a lot of wishful thinking to me. The gamble quote is interesting though,

I'll believe it when Bioware announces it. Otherwise, the images aren't a hard photoshop at all.

i acutally made that suggestion in another thread, i was thinking that I wouldnt be surprised if EA cooked up delaying the endgame, as a inventive, but albeit impotent in the long run method of making sure that only paying customers get the ending. at least for the short run anyway.

There's always the possibility of an DA:Awakening-esq follow on?

It could be a ploy - see what fans think of the story, get feedback and an idea of the general consensus of what fans are hoping for considering the story in ME3. Kind of a "give the fans what they want by first not giving them what they expect"?

Hell of a way to treat your customers Bioware. It'd be like a doctor telling you your going to die, then saying, hey look I was just kidding your not going to die!

Doing this to fans is a dumb and idiotic form of PR, that in the long run ruins your fanbase.

Anyways this whole thread is a giant "IF" but it still keeps my hopes up.

IF this is true how the hell do you pitch that in a meeting?
"Lets make horrible endings, then wait a while before we release the real endings. It will get us attention and everyone will love it!"
If I was at that meeting i would respond with this,

What if the fan outcry, the petitions and the massive dissapointement felt by quite a lot of people was actually what they wanted to acheive only so they could attract attention to it, so they could later on "correct it" with DLC?

I find it to be be in poor taste to release an unfinished product. I've come to expect more from Bioware over the years, but that's my own fault.

I sure hope they make something of better quality. Awakening I played once, and tossed it somewhere deep into my drawer - I probably wouldn't be able to find it if I searched for it.

I still have a hard time believing BW would keep it at this. It just doesn't make sense... yet, it also doesn't make sense to ship a game with such an ending and remain silent about a follow-up FREE dlc with the proper ending.

Whatever BW is up to, whatever the thought behind the current ending... it just doesn't make sense AT ALL.

I would like to think that BW nor EA would do this sort of thing on purpose. For now I will contine to think that this wasn't deliberate and was some sort of "artistic confusion"

EA Games probably rushed them to put out ME3 so maybe they'll make a DLC with a better written ending. Honestly though, what does that say about a company if they have to revise their product after selling it thousands?

I just don't think Bioware has the balls to admit they half-assed the ending, so they just keep saying it's suppose to be "unforgettable" or "open to interpretation"

It's ridiculous how much of a publicity this got, despite how the Asari Adept already has a skill named Asari Justicar, meaning an individual Asari Justicar class would be pointless for the game.
Therefore, this whole image is a scam.
