I didn't see it as a spoiler, but I guess it might have been.

Mostly because you were quoting the other guy, who had spoilers.

Also, I oppose the return of the Old Ones and all their priests.

We need to all boycott all BW and EA games if they don't fix the Mass Effect trilogy ending. This is ridiculous, this is such a let down.

My Shepard realized the existence of the 4th wall and demanded a new ending from me. Help, Bioware, my Shepard is a renegade, no telling what she'll do!:o

I believe thats what most people in the fleet plan on doing. At least, I haven't spoken to anyone who's said 'Boy I hate those endings but I can't wait to give BW more money'

If it comes to that its depressing but I will do it. I really hope that they fix it, all they need to do is have multiple endings in where you choices matter. I like Bioware and always promoted them when I could but if this isn't fixed then no. If Boycott is the last resort ill do it with everyone.

Happy with the endings they makes no sense whatsoever that´s what people are furious about the plotholes.
Nothing makes sense how about not treating the fans like idiots which you have done in this case.

It has been a quiet discussion because we don't want it to go that far but if it's needed it will be done.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the 'splainin'.

Also, you can resist, but you cannot win. And Nyarlathotep is not Sovereign!

Next: ME4 --- Shepard vs. Dagon (let's give him a chance and start with something a mortal can hope to kill).

Let me start off by saying I LOVE Mass Effect. I've played each game countless times. The only game to rival my investment in Mass Effect were large Bethesda games. I've made characters with very specific interactions that they were to undertake "My infiltrator will be very pro-human and will romance Ash and ect." During the games I've spent time just wondering which option I should choose and how it will effect the rest of this game and then the next game how will it carry over? I've completed every side mission i could find in 1 and 2 just to see how it will be referenced in the next game. Even those god-aweful vehicle missions. I loved Mass Effect 3. I had to really think about the decisions to make. Do I do what I think is right? Or do I choose what I think needs to be done for the greater good? Sure. I would have loved some more detail in somethings. Specially the beginning of the game, I would have loved to be a part of the trial. I even felt emotionally taxed towards the end when various things happen to certain characters. But then. I found Shepherd in this strange place. Talking to an AI child. Telling me I had 3 options and neither of them sounded sunshine and buttercups. I wanted shepherd to be okay. I wanted a happy ending. But I didn't expect it. And then I found out what my choice meant: which of three colors would shoot out of the damn thing. I wanted more than a lazy 3rd party saving the day with Shepherd being a martyr. I wanted more than this ending being sponsored by crayola. I didn't expect the ending to be shepherd flying back from the citadel on a rainbow shrouded unicorn waving a giant foam finger that said "Reapers Suck" shooting Reapers with a Claymore one-handed screaming various hilarious one-liners. I could take fighting the giant terminator in 2. But this... I don't like this. I don't like that my choices didn't matter. I don't like that in the end everything comes down to some randomly thought up...thing. It just kills what I've come to expect from Mass Effects brilliant story-telling. I'd really like this made right. I know a lot of people may have liked the ending. I just personally feel that it didn't fit Mass Effect.

No boycotting is a very logical thing to do if a mass group of people don't like what theat company is doing. That's a capitalist economy for ya. No one wants to go that far but it is an option people will take and I would join that because I am the consumer and not happy with the product and being lied to about what I was recieving.

What would you do if Bioware made another awesome game completely unrelated to ME universe, and never visited it again because so many people are unhappy enough to boycott without giving them a shot to get all the information? Nothing. They could leave it as it is and never mention Mass Effect again. DO I think that will happen? no. But they COULD DO IT. And nothing you could say would change that fact if they chose to do it. So have some class, and tell John concrete reasons why you didn't like the ending, so maybe they have information to assess possibly fixing your problem? much more sensible.

John and Stanley

How about you spend some time to chat on the area of the forum that spoilers are allowed?

We have coffe and donuts!

I'm trying my hardest to avoid spoilers, because I've yet to have a chance to play through ME3. And, being up on the DA floor, there are large swathes of content that remain blissfully unspoiled for me, with the exception of the endings and a few bits and pieces here and there.

Thus why I can recognize spoilers a mile away.

If you know the endings, why bother playing the game at all?

Because, to me (and I know someone's going to call me out on this - so let's just avoid that and say that, yes, I recognize this is, to a degree, echoing an earlier blog post) it really is about the journey. I know where I'm going to end up, but it's the getting there that I'm looking forward to. ME1 was the first BioWare game that came out after I started working here (in fact, my first day was the ME1 launch party - good times). I was fortunate enough to get to work on ME2 (was still QA at this point), and even got to dabble in Cinematic Design. When the third game was in development, I'd become something of a permanent fixture on the Dragon Age franchise, and so I'm coming into it as a huge fan of the first game (and a huge fan of the second, although working on it did mean I didn't spend nearly as much time with it as a consumer as I might otherwise have done).

So whether or not I know the endings, I'm more concerned about what happens up to that point. And that's why I'll play through ME3, despite having the endings spoiled - I want to know what happens in the leadup.

The reaply value is killed because of these endings that´s all I have to say why would I buy dlc or even consider playing the game again knowing what I know. You guys pulled  a George Lucas ffs there is no explaining the endings when choices you make eventually does not matter.

It's been brought up many times in other threads. They're there if you wanna keep it going that way.

I really REALLY wanna buy and PLAY ME3 (no, I haven't played it, but I've watched so many playthroughs and ending videos it's not even funny + I read pretty much everything I could get my hands on).

For me though it's more a matter of some little technical issues concerning the GAW system rendering some outcomes impossible to accomplish (I don't play MP).

Aside from that, I still wanna play the game. I may just stop at the part that upsets me, and walk away while it's still awesome in my eyes. Sort of like how, on subsequent watchings, I'll always skip the last minutes of some movies, like "BLACK DEATH", because it sort of kills the fun for me.

laziness vs hard work... there were moments in ME3 that left me breathless in a good way. and then there were moments that made me go.. "really bioware?" would it have killed you to put a bit more thought into it instead of just copy-pasting across the board and calling it a day. and the brilliant moments remind me that even if something looks lazy.. maybe it wasn't necessarily lazy. but... it still doesn't mean its good quality, regardless of the reasons for it. and it doesn't mean corners weren't cut.

depending on your preferences, the bad can easily out-weight the good, no matter how outstanding the good parts were. endings always mattered to me a great deal. books, movies, shows... my book collection especially reflects that. not everything can be changed. but in this case, in case of company like bioware that communicates with and listens to the fans and often implements feedback - is that a wonder that instead of just giving up and leaving for good, we are still trying to get ourselves heard?

we wouldn't be asking all this questions, providing all this feedback, if we knew that there is no chance in hell it will be heard. we wouldn't be here if we didn't care, if we didn't feel invested, if we didn't feel at least some degree of appreciation for the work that bioware does.

but. and I know I have said this before, but there comes a point when you realize that you are no longer a target audience. I'm leaning in that direction right now. the outcome of this debate will allow me to know for certain.

However rash it is. It needs to be said. I am not forum jumping saying boycott and reposting it. It was brought up here and I voiced my opinion.
