Apart from Samara Jacob Kasumi and Grunt all of my me2 team who i worked hard to keep alive in suicide mission died, not just the main people but lots of others killed off, Kelly chambers,Kal'reegar, i heard Morinth dies if you pick her and probably others that i missed

Because it made sense from a character standpoint?

Apparently you can save Kelly by telling her to change her name, Kal'reegar's a really minor character anyway. Dunno about Morinth, never picked her. You will ALWAYS lose Thane and Legion, regardless of your choices, but you can theoretically save everyone else. As to their deaths overall, this was going to be a hard fight, and I wasn't expecting everyone to survive.

There were plenty of them. That's my guess

Emotional entanglement.
It's simply supposed to make you sad, killing off characters you loved in the most tragic way possible.

Better than the ME1 characters. They ended up starving to death on the random jungle planet.

I felt all the deaths were handled well enough... except Legion's. Legion had such a great story, and then he just sort of goes, "I am sorry, Shepard-Commander. I must die now." "Wait, what?!" "Signing off."

Thane was terminal ill,

Mordin and Legions story arcs we're kind building to it.

they were expendable fan favorites. the main cast of ME3 arent expendable as much, so "well we want some character deaths, but we also want a tighter squad, oh i know lets kill off the ME2 characters that didnt make it onto the team!"

makes sense. and all the deaths made sense. so i have no issue with it.

Exactly. Pointless thread to be honest. Everyone starves to death in the jungle.

The Reapers are looking for Ardat-Yakshi to turn into banshees. Morinth is an Ardat-Yakshi. It isn't exactly hard to make that connection.

...
Legion and Thane are the only unavoidable ones
Mordin, Grunt, Samara, Jack, Zaeed and Miranda can be avoided
Kasumi and Jacob are in no danger of dying

Now if your complaining that most got bit parts while guys like Mordin, Legion, Miranda and Thane got bigger roles... I can see what your saying

Some of the deaths make sense for me: Legion, Thane, and Mordin, while emotional, actually worked for me and the story at the time.

I can't say that much about Morinth or Jack. That really is just a cheap way to get rid of them.

Also, wtf Kal'Reegar!? :(

I don't feel that their deaths detracted from the quality of the game that much, they all died for what could be argued to be the greater good, and they were well written out.

To do something that big and not have casualties was inconceivable. I expected a couple of characters to die.

Kinda annoyed me as well, it was like the ME 2 guys were introduced just so they could die in ME 3. Zaeed didn't even get a mention on the wall. I mean he was a bastard and all that, but he went on the suicide mission, same as everyone else, surely he deserves his name on the roll of honour?
