If Wrex and Eve are dead, and you destroyed the cure, you can convince him that it would just lead to another Rebellion, and the the best thing for the krogan would be to fake the cure.  He'll reluctantly agree, and go to join the Crucible project.

Ah, I see. Well, good to know I made all the right choices first time round. I don't know when I'll find it in me to do another run. I don't know if I could sit through all those goodbyes again.

Why do characters in any stories ever die.

There is a phantom called Jack in cerberus base and you hear audio of a scientist killing her

Proof? Aparently the wiki on Jack says this:

"If Shepard does not help Grissom Academy in time, she will appear as a special enemy Phantom when Shepard raids Cerberus Headquarters."

Only Mordin, Thane, and Legion died in mine .. From what I've heard you can't have both Wrex and Mordin alive, so I choosed to have Mordin make the sacrifice ..

Jack is my LI. The audio tape is heart wrenching.

Thane was already dieing from a terminal illness, and he went out like a Boss!

Moridin made logical sense because he had this overwhelming need to atone for his genophage work. and in the end, he did.

Legion also, atleast to me made clear sense. He saw his sacrifice to ensure the greater good for the Geth race.

everyone else can be prevented.

I thought the deaths were handled well. I was really bummed about Moridin as he was one of my favorite characters from ME2.

Wait. I could've saved Mordin (WITHOUT lying about the cure)?! If so, I'll NG+ right this moment. D:

The only ones that died on me were Thane, Mordin and Legion. To be honest, I was alright with what happened. Both Thane and Mordin's deaths seemed fitting, given their circumstances. Thane was dying anyway, and it was better for him to die in combat as a hero than to waste away his final days. Also, Mordin was getting old by Salarian standards and he even said himself that he would've died within a few years, so instead he also died a hero after making up for the genophage.

Legion, on the other hand, was a little annoying. Somehow, I didn't seem to mind much because he was only a platform of the Geth as a whole and not an individual (at least up until the end), and, since the Geth continue to live on, he's not really dead. However, his death did seem kind of forced and pointless, because it's not really explained to you why he had to die, and I can't help but feel it was just added in there for emotional value.

...!!! That was....worse than watchin' Tali commit suicide...WTF WOULD SHEPARD NOT RESCUE HER?! I went pretty much right after I got the Grissom info, BECAUSE I DON'T SUCK.

Also, Phantom Jack should be a much bigger threat than Kai Leng, Glad I never had to find out, since I rescued her. <3

Most you can save if you pick the right choices (Mordin/Thane/Miranda/Tali/Kelly/Jack/Jacob/Samara), god knows which ones tho as I lost quite a few people.

Saving some require some obscure ME1/2 choices tho depending what sort of paragon/renegade route your going, even trying to collect some war assets (Geth without Tali dying) require bunch of 'correct' ME2 options to succeed.

Legion and Mornith are the only team members you absolutely can't save I believe?

As I understand it, you're really choosing between Mordin and Wrex (and the Krogan). As for Thane, I could save him?

Hell, I don't rmmbr even hearing from Kelly, and I tried to do EVERY assignment. Dunno how I missed that.

EDIT: It seems I never heard from Kelly because I never pursued her romantically. Meh. I just hope she survived.

Apparently you can save Kelly by telling her to change her name, Kal'reegar's a really minor character anyway. Dunno about Morinth, never picked her. You will ALWAYS lose Thane and Legion, regardless of your choices, but you can theoretically save everyone else. As to their deaths overall, this was going to be a hard fight, and I wasn't expecting everyone to survive.

Morith gets offed in the most ugly way possible.

You find an email from her on the Monastery. She sends you another email. And then you meet her on Earth. The banshee you fight after the reaper? Has her name.

But no one even says a word, is amazed, or angry about a former squadmate beign huskified. Basically they all ignore the fact.

That was the part of the game that pissed me off by far the most.

To be fair, none of the ingame characters can actually see the names of their enemies above their heads like we can, so them not saying anything is understandable.

You have to go to the 02 level of the citadel where the refugees are. Talk to her, convince her to hide and come back again to see her new look. After the cerberus raid she will tell you how you saved her with the suggestion.

Yea you need to save Captain Kirrahe in ME2 and not talk to Thane before the Cerberus attack on the Citadel, Kirrahe will save the council member and die in the procress, Thane lives.

See, talk about freaking obscure options, I didn't even know you could save Kirrahe in ME2 until like 2 days before ME3 came out.

EDI at least says, "I believe that was Jack," if you let Jack become a phantom and kill her.

Apparently not. The wiki says there is no information and I didn't find him. I saved the entire crew in ME2 too ...

Yeah, I had tremendous respect for Mordin and his way of going out. I did try to talk him out of it, because, hell, who would let their friend die without at least trying to stop it?

And I felt Legion's death was the most profound of all the squadmate deaths.

"Shepard-Commander, I must go to them. I - I'm sorry, it's the only way"

I was stunned for a moment.

Yea. Legion's death was way too unexpected and unnecessary.

I saw Mordin's death coming a mile away. As soon as I started the genophage mission, I had that sinking feeling that he'd die to atone for his actions. The icing on the sadness cake was definitely when he started singing his little song. :( For a video game to cause me to get kinda choked up... Bioware really did well there.

My first run through ME3, I lost Mordin, Miranda, Legion, and Thane. I really wanted to kill Jersey Shore James Vega and the Egg-Roll reporter chick that looks like Snookie. I hear you can blow her out the air lock on the Normandy. I'll definitely be trying that out. :)

Most of the ME2 characters were just forgettable or you got them so late you never had a chance to do anything with the character. Mordin I would keep...but the others were disposable.
