Sadly I don't have a twitter, nor want to get one even for this one-time thing. Good to hear though, provided their not using a VI to respond to everything.

I tweeted "@masseffect I hear you guys are looking for feedback on ending? Would like to discuss if willing."

Hopefully they answer me.

Hey to those who don't have twitter if they say yes. What do you think is most important to include? Please remember tweets are only 180 characters.

My first think is no "Shepard Speech" with AI. Just acceptance of logic.

Tweeted them. I also feel bad for the guy since some people are forgetting how easy it is to forget politeness behind the anonymity of the internet.

Man! This makes me want to do something I promised myself I would never ever do and have not to this day and that is use twitter.../sigh. If I do this know that I am doing it to hold the line!

Dude.... I'm so depressed that I agree with this.  I just signed up after having never considered getting a Twitter account just to comment on them.

I replied to someone else's response when they asked what are details for why they didn't like it.  Since you only can type one damn sentence I suggested explaining why your crew is abandoning you at the end and how is the galaxy to leave Sol and get home with the Relays destroyed.

thought this same thing. Even if they had this planned all along it does kind of seem like the last 24 hours they've been in panic mode. It was silence and suddenly they started talking back.

Likely, as returned games and gamers completing the game and hitting forums, bombing amazon ratings and all has smacked them awake to the gut punch that they gave us for an ending.

And the thing we should do is if any of us get's the twitter response asking "what problems did you have" politely point out as many of the really really deep problems we have with the ending.

Could it just be a PR brush off?  Maybe, but if we utilize every thing at our disposal, and march out onto the field to meet them, maybe just maybe we'll bring those kinetic barriers down.

Why are they asking on twitter? They can just read these forums. Easy to see what we think about this damn ending. Yes that's one ending, not 3. And not even a good one.

Others explained it better, but I just finished the game, got disappointed as hell and need some sleep. Night all.

Hope this ending situation is fixed. -_- Seems they care at least.

I've pretty much railed against Bioware in the hardest yet civilest way I can, but I will admit...I feel somewhat less pissed off now they finally are taking our anger seriously, even if it just is a random faceless twitter acount.

Wait:

So the mere appearance of being listened to, when you should well know that they actively watch these forums, is enough to calm you down?

Really?

Twitter or not, and even if the account is not directly managed by Bioware, we might as well send feedback to it. It's the first time there's a somewhat official source asking for our feedback on the ending.

The point of a twitter thread is for you to give them your thought, not an invitation to invite a discussion.

I'm worried about the amount of questions of why people dislike the ends on Twitter. There are extensive documents about it RIGHT HERE. Why they still ask?

Posted this earlier today, but hope it helps here...

I don't think Bioware is out of touch with their customers though I agree with an earlier poster that right now they are assessing their options. Nor do I think that everyone speaking up for them at the moment is a "yes man" or shill. That said:

I don't for a moment think there were any other endings, this was a hallucination, etc. Bioware/EA is letting these speculations go on for two reasons. First, they are letting people vent. Secondly, they are weighing options.

Years ago, I worked for a PR damage control team and everything right now is going by the book. First, re-affirm and ignore (also known as doubling down), then try and define the detractors in the mainstream with things like "this is all a big mistunderstand", etc. while remaining civil in the hopes the detractors go rabid. Meanwhile go dark and use countermeasures through third part sources to prop up your position and brand the outcry as driven by hacks, haters or a minority trying to wear out the detractors on these outlets or "shock troops" while protecting the corporate core. Next, offer something distracting (notice SWTOR is free this upcoming weekend) known as the "faux olive branch", buy more add time, and hope it dies down. If the pressure is still on, determine the economic viability of 1) ignoring the outcry and banking on the fickle nature of consumers to get over it or 2) determining if we can make money off of fixing it.

If it is any consolation, the decision whether or not there is a fix DLC, etc, won't be made by the writers so illusions to things they wanted to convey don't matter much atm (to wit: the leads comments yesterday). I suspect he's been called in and politely told by the PR guys to not do that again. This is now a corporate problem, not an artistic struggle with fans. Somewhere in the EA bunker, attorneys, PR guys, writers and brass are sharing numbers b/c in the end this will come down to hard currency.

As one who despises the endings, I'm hoping the suits tell the visionaries that the customers are loud enough and numerous enough to swollow their pride and get them out of this storm. For those that love them, I readily accept your position and respectfully disagree.

Anger won't sustain us.  Resolve will.  Honestly in the long run the bouts of not being angry will only serve to lengthen the amount of time people will rally.  Less emotional fatigue that way.
