I do not dare to post this on my main account due to the gray-zone this solution fly in, so I am limited to this sub-forum, sorry for that

There is a severe penalty in Mass Effect 3 for players that do not utilize the Multiplayer/Facebook features in that their Galactic Readiness rating always stay at 50% which makes the single player campaign insultingly unrewarding.

Let me give an example: The Krogan Clans add a total of 300 points to the Total Military Strength and, at 50% Galactic Readiness, 150 points to the total Effective Military Strength.

In order to nullify the 50% Galactic Readiness for players never intending to go "online" I boosted all relevant numbers in the Coalesced.bin file.

Simply download the version of Coalesced.bin you like and put it in your Mass Effect 3 directory as follows (make a backup of the orginal Coalesced.bin file!):

Example; ..\\GAMES\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\CookedPCConsole

EDIT:
Sorry, I forgot to mention: since the Military Strength for each "item" (like the The Krogan Clans) is added when "you get them" in your SAVEFILE you can only get my bonuses for items you not allready have i.e. if you allready have most items its better to start a "new" game.

:police:
IMPORTANT!!!! Do NOT use this altered version of the Coalesced.bin for any ON-LINE activity as your game account probably will be banned. In other words, it might be wise to "firewall block" MassEffect3.exe when you play with my version of the Coalesced.bin file (or simply disconnect your internet cable).

All Military Strength boosted, cheats added + followers can equip all weapons just as Shepard
click here to download

How to access the cheats:

I changed maxfuel from 1000 to 9999 (passive feature)

Anytime you press the "reload weapon" key you get 999 ammo

Press "Num Lock" button  and then use the Num Lock keys 0 to 9 for the following cheats:

0. = GOD-mode (*)
1. = Zero cooldown an all your skills (*)
2. = Cooldown back to all your skills
3. = Max Paragon
4. = Max Renegade
5. = Set Paragon to zero
6. = Set Renegade to zero
7. = Get 9999999 credits
8. = Get 1 talentpoint (**)
9. = Remove 1 talentpoint
Multiply = normal speed
Subtract = slow motion
F3 = give exp (spam button many times in order to max level)
F10 = Ghost (fly mode)
F11 = Walk (no-clip)
F12 = reset the Ghost/Walk modes

(*) When you get to a new map the GOD-mode and Zero cooldown often reset, so just press the buttons again to get the effect.

(**) You can max your followers talent points, but if you try to max your own skills they reset when you load the game. Will try to fix this later

My intention with this post was NOT to promote online cheating, but to help players that do not like the Galactic Readiness penalty. The main reason why I added the "cheats" was for people who use such a file already and want the Galactic Readiness fix I made too.

If people have Xbox live but aren't interested in multiplayer, have no fear. It only takes a few multiplayer matches to raise your galactic readiness level sufficiently if you are a completionist and gathered every possible resource in the galaxy. You won't have to devote too much time to it.

I feel sorry for those who don't have Xbox live however. In the shipped game it is nearly impossible to raise your EMS to 5000 without a few multiplayer matches.

Galactic Readiness is a badly implemented feature! Multiplayer should NOT affect the Singleplayer campaign as it does now.

But truth be known, it felt good to boost the values on important stuff that happened in ME1/ME2 that was worth "almost nothing" like characters alive and saved colonists like on Ferrus.

As it stands now, players importing saves from ME1 to ME2 and now to ME3 gain very little Effective Military Strength on key events. Hmm, maybe I'll later make a more "humble" boost on just "imported events" in a file for purist players :)

Just why should single player cheats be punishable?

Galactic Readiness should be higher by default, like 75%, not the current 50%. If not that, there should be a way to increase GR in singleplayer. The "incentive" to still play MP is there, but it gives people more options, especially since it is next to impossible to get 4000/5000 EMS offline.

I had tons of fun turning the Katana into a 16 round autoshotgun in Mass Effect 2 and increasing the sprint time to 10 seconds.

Thank you Okogava - I agree with you fully that linking the SP campaign in this way with multiplayer punishes people who do not want to play multiplayer, and have bought the game for the single player experience.

In my first playthrough, that I just completed, I found that it most probably IS, contrary to what the official word is, impossible, or nearly impossible, to get to the required 4000 ems to get to the "best ending" - before a point of no return that I shall not name (as this is the no-spoilers forum), my ems was around the 3200-3300 range, and I had done most of the side quests, and scanned for assets so much that I can't have missed that many.

So, what I did was go scanning for assets one last time, untill I found a war resource that I hadn't gotten yet - then I exited the game, and edited my Coalesced.bin - I found instructions on how to do that online. I located the line for the particular war asset I found, and changed the bonus it gives from 50 to 2000.

I then reloaded a save from before I aquired that asset, and went to get it. It worked - I got the 2000 points instead of 50, and thus was pushed over the line, even with 50% readiness.

I don't play multiplayer, so I don't think editing the file will cause any problems for me.

I loved the game - and didn't have such a problem with the ending that most people seem to have had, so this "readiness" tied to multiplayer, with no in-game single player way to increase it, is my major complaint. I should not have to go to the trouble of editing game files in order to have accessible to me all the single player content that I paid for, nor should I be forced to play multiplayer to gain access to it.

I sincerely hope Bioware never does anything like this again, with any future game. It is distasteful.

Oh I just know it will work it's way into multiplayer. People do enjoy it as is and like most games with cheating population will dwindle.

As much as I support this mod, I will wait till MP dies out before using it. I don't mind the MP (I like it) and I am not risking any bans to my account. Will download and keep when the MP goes out of popularity and the endings get fixed.

Thank you.  I couldn't figure out why my readiness stayed at 50% despite 100% completion of missions and all resources found in all solar systems.
I won't have done that multiplayer of facebook stuff anyway, so this is helpful.  Although now that I've seen the endings I have no urge to replay the game with 100% readiness.

See I don't have a PC so it doesn't work for me. BW should just either A) amend the 50% via update so those who won't go online never have to and can get the better ending or B) just allow players to obtain the better ending with the 50% mark provided they para or ren the crap out of TIM.
