If its based off the games, then no. If its not, still no.

Well, you KNOW a major film studio would demand the ending be changed, considering the feedback and the fact that negative buzz about the ending would harm ticket sales.

They'd probably use "the ending's different!!!" to stir up some viral marketing.

You make it sound like movies always correctly portray the video games(or usually books) they're based off of.

I can bet you a Mass Effect movie would be significantly different, including the ending, to the games. Even if the ending would have been great this would still probably be the case.

Can't be bothered to go through 10 pages at this time so quick summary, probably been mentioned already - Will it end after an hour and you'll have to pay the extra X $/£ to see how it ended? If that's the case then "no,"

I make it sound like they always portray them accurately by pointing out that they would make them change it? What?

I agree with you, and I wasn't born yesterday. What I'm saying is that the studio would make a point of telling the audience well before the movie released that the ending would be different. Such changes from books to movies, or video games to movies, are rarely advertised, but in this case it would be. Most likely through viral marketing.

I think JJ Abrams would do a good job visually... Keep Micheal Bay away from this movie!  You should see his idea about the new Ninja Turtles movie... killing childhoods one movie at a time.

If JJ Abrams was involved it would end up being a mulitverse meets travel between multiple dimensions and times and then end in a jumble of plot holes and confusion.... Actually he sounds perfect...

I wasn't planning to watch it before ME3 came out. Video game movies always suck.

When it hits redbox sure.

Other than that...probably not anymore. Maybe if I get over my depression from ME3's ending I might give it a go (I did love all of ME1 to death). I don't know though.

Even if ME3 had the greatest ending in endings ever, you would NOT want to see a movie version of it. What would be released would resemble so little of what you loved in the first place that you would die a little inside thinking about it. Check out the articles on the Assassin's Creed movie if you want something recent or you can watch any of these:

Super Mario Bros.
Double Dragon
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (hey, the first one didn't make me want to kill myself)
House of the Dead
REs
Alone in the Dark
Bloodrayne (goddamn you Ewe Boll)
Prince of Persia

You might not have liked the Silent Hill movie, but damn did it nail that world to a T.

I wouldn't have even if the ending was fantastic. There are just too many variables regarding Shepard that no one would come out of that film happy. Nothing against Bioware, or the story, or characters, or anyone. There's just no way that everyone, or even a majority of people, would be able to accept a canonized Shepard.

Even if ME3's endings were superb... no, probably not. I've never seen anything good come from a videogame movie.

I probably wouldn't have watched it in the first place. Because video game into movie transitions have a history of being god-awful.

And while I know it wasn't a video game, the Last Airbender movie made me lose the last little bit of hope I had in anything short of comic books and the occasional novel getting converted to the big screen.

i already know what my favorite color is, so there is no way i'm paying a ridiculous amount for a movie ticket for it to tell me what i already know.

Yes. I would Netflix it.

But before this ending, a ME movie would've been something I took the day off of work for.
