If somebody, or perhaps several people are looking to start working on a new NWN2 campaign, might I suggest the venerable "The Enemy Within" sequence for the Warhammer FRPG? It doesn't look like anybody has built a NWN2 port of this yet. The five modules come with a extensively developed setting and the campaign has been well-received by tabletop gamers. However, capturing some of the flavor of the setting may require significant changes to the base character class system in NWN2. It looks like the modules are currently available for download (as PDF files) from RapidShare.

I heard you're an expert at the Toolset, wrote the book on it even.

LOL, hardly. I'm still learning new things.
It would be interesting trying to convert the Warhammer character system into something resembling D&D. The list of deities would need to be changed; it's a much smaller pantheon. Maybe change the feats list so it looks like some of the Warhammer skills. Perhaps fiddle with the wound system and add in gunpowder weapons. Implementing the point-based magic system would be more of a challenge...

Deities are easy.
Feats... could be time-consuming, but not too hard.
Point-based magic system... more than doable, but yes, a lot more work.

Yes, implementing a point-based magic system just for this might not be worth the effort.
Hmm possibly the "basic careers" can just be implemented as a set of character background feats? The advanced careers, or "career exits", can then be the D&D character classes. Thus, the Charlatan advanced class would become the D&D bard and/or rogue class. The Gambler basic career has an exit to Charlatan, so the former can instead be a background feat. Per the advance scheme for the Gambler, that feat would give bonuses to Gamble (appraise?), Luck (saving throws) and Palm Object (sleight of hand). It would have prerequisites for Dex, Int and Cha, which are part of that career's advance scheme.
I think Background feats would probably help give it a lot of the Warhammer flavor. Not sure how to implement hand guns; maybe a modified sling that uses charges? Probably the normal D&D combat system would work, although critical wounds would make it more gritty. Something like the Dragon Age wound system perhaps?
