Is there an option to kill her yourself? I could wish anyways.

Yep, in ME2 just bring the Cain with you to Freedom's Progress.

(Then when she shows up again, get her killed either in the SM or in ME3 and pretend the Cain version was canon.)

You need to have completed several paragon choices/options in ME2 to talk the Quarians down from attacking the Geth while Legion is uploading his thing, Legion still dies (not possible to save him at all) but Tali lives and you get the Geth & Quarian War Assets.

It's not possible without a (almost perfectly paragon) ME2 save.

Alternatively I believe Tali lives if you stop Legion from doing the upload (he attacks you and Tali kills him), but you don't get the Geth war assets.

I saved her in my save. I had peace between th quarians and the geth. Did you do all the side missions before rannoch and keep her from getting exiled in me2?

You need 5 points to get peace.

2 for not getting teli exiled
2 for killing the geth in me2
1 for making tali and legion not fight in me2
1 for saving the admiral
1 for completing the geth side mission

This isn't true.

My Tali wasn't exiled (and I kept her dad's experiments a secret).
I rewrote the geth.
I made peace between Tali and Legion with a renegade option.
I saved the admiral.
I completed the geth side mission.

I never got a dialogue option.

At the part where Koris is supposed to override Gerrel's comment "belay that option" Koris doesn't speak up so you can't get a dialogue option.

There is definitely a way to make peace with the geth and quarians, but this list isn't complete.  Some people accidentally stumbled upon the right combination of options from their previously imported Mass Effect games, but the advice they give isn't coming from anything they actually know, it's just a guess and some advice from random folks on the internet who are also probably just guessing.

My suggestion?  Go ahead and do what the list tells you to do as much as you can, but if it doesn't work then there's something else that no one understands yet.  On another ME2 playthrough, you should probably just kill the geth heretics to be safe.

You also need to have a high enough reputation. It is not a matter of percentage, but how much repuation you have. Respec to get higher reputation if it is not high enough.

My rep was maxed long before I even got to the geth dreadnought in both of my playthroughs.

Face it, no one really understands how they got the dialogue option.  They're all just guessing.

I never really liked Tali but this broke my heart a bit. I pressed the paragon button and she jumped anyway. I feel really bad now. Quarians gone. Legion dead, Tali dead, Mordin dead.

Am I playing this game right? Is everyone supposed to be dying? :D

No, in ME2 if you got her exiled and you re-wrote the geth it is impossible to save her if you choose to save the geth.

That combo is the only one that prevents you from rallying the two sides.

Paragon interrupt never works.

Across all of my ME2 playthroughs, I would never bring myself to get Tali exiled.

Does that mean I should be able to save her and still unite the geth next time?

During my first playthrough of ME3, my Paragade Shep lost Tali.  It haunts me.

I loved that part of the game.  I'm not the biggest fan of Tali either, but she's a sweet kid and I never could bring myself to hurt her that much.  Her swan dive was heartbreaking ... mainly becuase it's a direct result of your decision.

I only read the first three replies or so (to avoid spoilers--I'm trying to avoid this spoilers allowed subsection as much as possible until I beat the game), but they gave me enough understanding. Basically, it's impossible to save both the Quarians and the Geth (and logically both Tali and Legion) if you're starting Mass Effect 3 with a new character because of the default plotline it uses, which includes Tali being exiled.

Well what I say in response to that: Why the F did you start with 3!?

I just went through the scene where Tali commits suicide due to the rushed and unrealistic dichotomy the player is forced into where he has to decide if the Geth eliminate the Quarians or vice versa.

Best missions of ME3:

1. Priority: Tuchanka
2. Priority: Rannoch

You're decisions from the previous two games really matter here. Not rushed at all.

You can renegade the hell out of the ME2 including Legion/Tali missions and still force them to make peace in ME3.

She dies if you go with the Geth, yes. There's no avoiding that, you can paragon interrupt but Shepard will always be too late.

You'll either have to side with the Quarians or solve it with the power of speech by paragon/renegade option. Which requires certain criteria you might not have fulfilled.

Need 5 points (Plus good reputation score);
2 points for Tali as admiral (ME2)
2 points for blowing up the Heretics (ME2)
1 point for destroying Geth fighters (ME3)
1 point for saving the Admiral (ME3)
1 point for solving the discussion between Tali and Legion perfectly (Either Paragon/Renegade - ME2)

You can very much keep her alive.
My Shepard is going to have a nice retirement on Rannoch together with Tali..
..Oh wait, nevermind.. not with that ending.

Much better speech with a FemShep for the peaceful resolution tbh - Jennifer Hale's voice acting shines in that one. Just heard the male one, its nothing like as inspiring.

I usually save both but I'm coming up to it in my current playthroughs and think I may just side with geth and kill quarians coz I don't like them anyway and ems isn't needed since they lowered it and do nothing anyway.
