Wow, the camera just sucks!

yourself in control of the game’s camera, which can zoom in for a wide third-person view of your
characters (over the shoulder) or zoom out and up for a nearly top-down view of a whole area.
To zoom the camera, scroll with your mouse-wheel. When the camera is fully zoomed out, you can pan
across the battlefield using the arrow keys, by clicking the mouse wheel and dragging, or simply by
nudging the edge of the screen. At any zoom level, clicking the right mouse button and dragging rotates
the camera.
Here's more info from the manual about movement of the camera, stop faking and making stuff up. You really just frustrate me, you honestly have nothing better to do than make stuff up about a game you haven't played or probably even seen.

Nobody else should worry about this.

I don't particularly like right-clicking for telling my party where to go; it isn't a deal-breaker, though.

Also point clicking ruins my immersion, as does top down camera perspectives...

Likes NWN2 Camera
Dislike Dragon Age Camera
NWN2 camera was one of the worst pieces of utter garbage the world has ever known.
Therefore, Dragon Age must have a good camera and the OP doesn't know what good camera is.

Yes, it's possible. Some stores sell their games a day before the official release date. A bit naughty perhaps, but oh well...-CastorTroy- wrote...
Em are there already legal copies available? I maybe wrong but the only idea I have on mind is that this guy must be from England and must have a preload version? Else there is no way to have a legal copy yet, right?

Actually, there are at least 2 ways of getting the game legally:
1) Buy it from a local store that sells before street release date.
2) Preorder it directly from EA. Some customers got there's early (today)... I guess the shipping date is unpredictable.
I never understood why some games stopped the camera from zooming in on the character's face. ME was like that.
In any case, the manual and trailer vids seem to prove the OP wrong. Perhaps the OP is confused, which might be a heads up to whomever designed the interface. After all, people shouldn't have to struggle just to use functionality as basic as camera control.

Honestly, this is just a complete failure.
Standard troll. Really, that's right out of the troll book: Calling an unreleased product a Complete/Utter failure due to a very small feature.
Trollery.

If I remember correctly, KOTOR used the same type of camera setting and you couldnt click on the ground to make you character move to that position. So i would say its a standard BioWare thing. Also, neverwinter nights 2 wasn't made by BioWare it was Obsidian
Kotor had the option to play point and click, but it wasn't default.

Okay, so if everyone here is such an expert (and I'm obviously a completely retarded idiot) then tell me, how do I click on the ground and walk my character from point A to point B?
And why would I want to swivel the camera around my character while I'm doing this? Because of immersion. I'm not playing Jade Empire here. I'm playing an RPG, and half the fun is just living in the world. I want to move the camera around on my character. This is the reason I took all the trouble to begin with in creating the look of my character.
And yes, there's no way to zoom the camera up close on your character. The camera stops so that you feel like you're standing about fifteen feet away.
And to those of you who feel the need to belittle me by claiming that I don't have a copy of the game, and am just making this up - yeah right, I'm just making this up. Yeah, right. Okay, you don't have to post here anymore since this is all just made up.
Its exactly the same as Neverwinter Nights (since their entire dev team worke don this game). You simply click CLOSE to your character but where youw ant to go and he will walk there. Keep clicking close but slowly moving away and he will keep walking.
However that is not the best way to walk a character around - its easier to walk the character by keeping the walk key down when you want to walk.

I also have read the manual I suspect the OP hadn't and was trying to play using NWN2 controls, a different game by a different company so is it any wonder he had trouble.
