The game is rated M for Mature for a reason you know... There are things in this game that isn't suited to the learning for a 6 year old. I think when you hit like 12-14 then sure give it a shot but not when they are still young and in a complex learning system.

No offence but you have no one to blame but yourself for letting him play a game which is way above his age range. I work in a retail shop selling games and I cannot stress enough that these ratings are chosen for a reason. Would you let your son watch a 15? An 18? No so it's the same for games

This is still no excuse for a parent not reading about a game before purchasing it for a 6 year old.

A responisible parent should no Right and Wrong. Most of all a Game system is not a Babysitter.

It's not illegal to allow it but it's against the law to sell. I don't think it's a crime to sell a M game to a minor like selling alcohol but the retailer can get some fines, audits - that sort of thing.

Maybe at the next save point you could lend him your wheels so he can go grab some smokes and a 6 pack for you. It'd probably be a good move to give him a pistol just in case a stranger talks starts up a conversation.

Now if he scores you a Hustler with the leftover change you know your parenting skills are top notch.

I can hear it now Mass Effect 3 turns little boy into sexual deviant, perv, psycho, or all sorts of other blown up media thing they like to blame as the cause of corrupting the youth.

In the 80's it was Rock and Metal and Public Enemy Number one was Good ol' Blackie Lawless, and I laugh because the W.A.S.P. machine never stopped going it kept on when most other bands to emerge at the time stopped for some reason or another and all the LA sunset strip bands stopped, but not W.A.S.P.

The death, blood and chunky bits of flesh from exploded bodies are OK but 2 guys kissing is "disturbing"? LMAO And ahh, you have to go through the entire game to see Kaidan and Shepard kiss, were you not watching your "6 year old child" while they were playing an M rated game?

That might be the case in the US but not here. All three Mass Effect games are rated R13 which always struck me as being a bit odd seeing as the Halo series is R16.

But a 6 year old playing ME3? That's just..... wrong.

Lol, what a fool.  The thing about "kissing Kaidan" was a dead give away.  Oh and, Shep does a bit more than just "kiss" Kaidan in the romance scene They could at least do some research so they don't end up looking like a bigger tool, or is that not possible?

Ehm.... there's an age requirement for this game... why in blazes would you let your SIX YEAR OLD son play this game?! If he doesn't get nightmares over this, I'm not sure what will happen....

This game is not even suitable for a 12 year old IMO, too much blood and other nasty stuff going on

And you are how old, that you don't know that it is MAYBE NOT APPROPRIATE (to put it mildly) to let a 6 years old child play Mass Effect - a mature rated game (16+/18+)? And alone? That is what is disturbing about it not two guys in love. Your own fault that you have to deal with the unpleasant questions now. Gaming is no babysitter, same as TV or Internet - at least unless you have control of what your child can watch!

As ppl wrote above, don't dodge the questions, explain it jsut as advised (it's what ppl do when they love each other, just like mom and dad and sometimes it happens that a man loves man or a woman loves a woman, is all) and next time be more careful with the choice of games for your child.


(Maker, and I feel bad about allowing my 8yo kid play a 12+ game while watching her closely and directing her every move.)
