I thought she had an ugly face too, you would have thought that they would know how to create human faces by now...hell they could copy an actual human face like they did with Miranda, it may create better results
They did copy a human face. It's Jessica Chobot of IGN.
That was a joke.

Why did they give the option to kick her off the ship? It seemed kinda pointless since you could just say no to her or just ignore her completely.
Apparently Bioware cares more about minor choices than ending choices ..

Wait..why would you even want to have sex with that? If I saw something that looked like Diana Allers standing on the street I'd cross the street to avoid any potential airborne transmission STDs.

I thought her voice acting was OK. She didn't have the best lines out of any character. Who is the real person anyway? Don't think I have ever heard of her. Minor actress?

I think she is more an advertiser for IGN to fullfill nerd fantasies than an journalist. She's not famous for doing her job well, she's is famous for licking PSPs in underwear.
That's her job, and she did it well. She presents game related media with sex appeal... duh.
She's hotter than you are. Don't hate.

Her VA was the worst in the entire game. It felt like she was just reading the lines from the paper, without any acting involved. In fact, she pretty much admitted to being a ****ty voice actress.

I hate because her performance damages the virtual world I see in Mass Effect 3.
I hate her because I hate IGN for their bias.
I hate her because I can't punch her.
Someone being better/more sucessful at something then you does not protect them from criticism, if it did, we would have no reviews as very few reviewers can make a better game/movie then the people who did it in the first place.

Her performance was perfect. Allers is a focus-group tested correspondent hired by ANN to present the news of the war in an appealing way - she actually tells you this if you talk to her. Chabot is perfect for the role, because that is who she is. With the exception of nailing her source, Allers is Chabot. Like the character or not, you can't say it was an unrealistic performance.
Chabot isn't IGN, she just works for them. Their bias is no more her fault than the festering turd of an ending to ME3 is the fault of Chris Priestly.
Who do you want to punch, Allers or Chabot? You're less wrong for wanting to punch Allers (since she's not real) but still... you want to be that guy? Seem like your issues go way beyond IGN or a cute on-screen personality.
Not saying any of the above should protect anyone from criticism, as long as it is reasonable criticism. Chabot and Allers are both focus group tested talking heads. You might find it objectionable to use sex appeal to drive tech show (or "Battlespace") ratings, and that's legitimate criticism. Hating on Chabot because she got an awesome job for being cute, articulate, and willing to prance around in her underwear is bull crap, though, because you know you would have jumped at that opportunity if it had been offered to you.
I guess my point is that while Allers is a digital character, Chabot is not. She has doubtless thousands of horney fanboys who would love to stalk her if given half a chance, and I'm sure she's really not going to get her feelings hurt over your insults, but still... We should have the basic decency to keep our personal criticism honest and appropriate.

I would not punch Chobot IRL, that would be harmful/violent, would never want to do that.
And you are correct actually, it is realistic, does not make the preformance better, but it is realistic.
