Hey guys. I've been playing ME3 Campaign, and for some reason, I keep freezing at the same exact spot every time. Right after the first dream with that kid (and you talk to Liara, meet the new tech), my game ALWAYS freezes the moment Admiral Hackett's hologram appears (I've reloaded about 5 times now and it freezes on that same exact spot). I tried lowering my video settings, and got the same results. Does this mean I have a corrupted save or something?
My PC's specs:
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP2
AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor (4 cores, each at 3.0 GHz)
8.0 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (1GB Video Card)
I'm pretty sure my computer's specs aren't the issue though. Does anybody have ANY idea what I can do?
Thanks in advance!
Constant Freezing

4800 series is fine with ME3, just try with lesser AntiAliasing to see if that makes a difference. Or even turn down the number of light sources from 3 to 1.

Thanks for the reply man.
Yeah dude I did ALL of that. I literally put it on the lowest settings possible. Here is a screenshot of my configuration:

No problems with other games?
Defragment your hard-drive lately?

Nope, I haven't had any problems running any of my other games.
Regarding the disk defrag, about a few weeks ago. I'm thinking about doing it again right now and then do a disk wipe/clean up with CCleaner. Maybe do a registry clean up as well. Hopefully the problem won't persist.
If this continues, though, would it be best to just start a new game (i.e. is there a possibility that this is the result of a corrupted save)? Or is there a chance the problem may persist regardless?

I doubt it is a corrupted save, more like a corrupted file... as you said everytime you use the holovid for Hackett it freezes which kinda points to something bad...
Have you tried to repair your installation via Origin? right click ME3 and select repair.. it should check your files and download any bad files.

Yeah ALWAYS on the holo-vid. Like the moment his face materializes, it just freezes. I bring up the task manager, and it shows ME3 not responding, so I just end task. Its gotten so boring playing through the slow-mo dream sequence so many times.
I'm going to try what you said right now (repairing the installation) because I didn't even know such a thing existed. Hopefully it works, I'll post back here hopefully with good news.
