For the record, I'm part of the group that doesn't like the endings and support the whole "Occupy Mass Effect" movement. Er, I mean, Retake Mass Effect.

One thing that's getting me bummed about all this is that the other issues that ME3 had that I wish could be addressed aren't getting any attention. I mean-- I like this game. A lot. But there were other aspects of it that I wished would get discussed further so they could also be patched or modded or fixed or whatever.

Biggest one? If it hadn't been for the ending controversy, I'm willing to bet that tying the single player campaign to multi-player would have been a huge issue. I don't like playing multiplayer and the fact that the game makes it hard to play single player without it is annoying. Yeah, I know, you can achieve "the same results" without multiplayer but... well, firstly, I'm skeptical, and secondly, I wish they gave us a CHOICE. And thirdly... I play games for years, decades even, after they are released. Hell, I'm still playing Baldur's Gate or KOTOR. That makes me wonder about the viability of linking single player and multi-player for ME3.

There are other issues that are getting buried. Poor Jacob getting the shaft. How confusingly easy it is to flirt with people you didn't want to. The Tali face issue-- especially that one. She claims to have adapted to you after you do the deed with her and that would have been the perfect time to show her face, modelled in 3D. Instead, she claims to have adapted to you and immediately puts on her mask. Slightly obtuse. Also, what happened to the Booty Call Button in your cabin? HA. I rather liked that and would have added to the immersion (that's what you kids are calling it these days, right?).

Ah well. I really liked 99% of this game. The majority of it was great and for me, the reason why I wish Bioware could just address this whole endings crap is so we could talk about or highlight other aspects of the game that maybe we could ask Bioware to fix or clarify. Hell, that'd be much better PR for the game in general than what's happening now.
