I only remember him crying on the ship once. He's also a dedicated worker and decent pilot as well a "whinny ****", as you put it.

I know I finished the game and I'm not getting at him because hes gay, Ashley is as bad every game she was in she was whining about something, good job she went to the plastic surgeon because shes freaking hard to listen to

This. The problem is he comes across as a walking stereotype. "OH MY HUSBAND! *sob*"

I haven't talked to my gay friends about his character but I suspect many would be a bit offended.
