The whole thing took me off guard. One minute I'm thinking "Yea I got the quarians and geth to cut their crap." Next thing I see is Legion powering down. Again I'm thinking "Ok he'll power back up and we'll go kick some ass.... why isn't he moving? Oh crap!" I wasn't even paying much attention to the dialog, so I went and rewatched it. All and all I would say it was the most surprising death to me, but it was a well written one.

I was very sad. I liked Legion and respected him. Seeing him evolved from 2 to 3 was pretty powerful too. How at the end he became I, not we, but I and he referred to Tali as just that, his friend Tali. It made what he did in the end all the more powerful. I'd like to think that a part of him lived on in all Geth afterwards.

I liken it to the way I imagine people must have felt after seeing Old Yeller for the first time: it's an awful reality, but the mongrel had to be put down. That said.. yea, I cried.:crying:

When he asked if he had a soul I thought how much of a douche I would be when I played my Renegade and how it's going to make me cringe.  Thankfully, to my relief, Legion died on my Renegade's playthough, so I'll never know!

Anyways, when he said Keelah-Se'lai...ugh.:(

First time I played the game, I went and skipped over the Geth collective consensus mission and so I was forced to take a side I couldn't get peace between them.

Legion began to do the individual upgrade thing, and Tali told me the quarians were going to die unless I stopped Legion, and I began to think of all those quarians I knew Tali,, Zaal'Koris, Raan, Han'Gerrel, Xen, Reager, Vetor, and the only Geth was I knew was Legion

so I told Legion to stop and he got made and tried to kill me and Tali stabbed him with her Omniblade and everything happened so fast I was like WTF?

The 2nd time I got peace between the Quarians and Geth and it was a rather lame ending compared to the first one, I think I had a bug as Legion looked at me and said something like "Shepard Command I cannot complete this process I must go to them" and then Legion just flopped over. Auntie Raan come hobbling over and then that Geth Prime ran up, it was all over.

From what I've been hearing it's supposed to be a bit more than Legion just flopping over like that.
I had to gag my way through a 2nd playthrough of the game. I don't I could stomach a third any time soon.

I was fine with Mordin's death, he was getting old and only had a few years left to live. It still got to me one he started to sing.

Next I'm back at the Citadel seeing Bailey get shot in the gut, and I screamed at my TV "Those Bastard did they kill Bailey? If Bailey's dead now to I'm going to be pissed." I hit a Cerberus troop next to Bailey's body with a biotic charge and shotgunned him. Bailey spoke.

But soon (I knew this was coming as I had it spoiled for me long time ago) Thane got stabbed by Kai and it was an epic scene to see Thane kicking Kai's @ss like he was. Then I killed Udina, and next I got to the hospital and say a prayer with Kolyat as Thane dies, and I was just crushed, and the scene made me choke up, and have tears in my eyes.

So for me Legion's death was like a tiny fizzle and not an explosion that ripped my heart out.

The Quarian/Geth part of ME3 was one of my favorite parts. Especially that mission where you enter their consensus.

About Legion though, I did feel sorry for it. Actually wanted to side with the Geth, but the Quarians have the biggest fleet in the galaxy. Tough choice.

I thought Legion's death was touching in the peace ending, but if you side with the Quarians it is even more heart wrenching and powerful.

I have no shame to say that my eyes watered up, still do when I see the scene. Legion is just one of those characters.

And it has Tali....Tali! I mean, my first play-through I didn't do the consensus thing, and had no idea what was to come so I sided with the Quarians mainly because Tali was my LI. Turns out, thank god I did. Very gripping part though, Legion was my bro in 2, and he kicked ass in 3, real sad how it has to turn out.

Yeah but if you broker peace between the Geth and Quarians is this how it's supposed to go?

Legion looks at Shepard and Tali "I have to go to them, It can not be complete otherwise" (something along those lines I believe.

Then it just falls over and dies, it never says anything about Keelah-Se'lai and asking Tali about having a soul in the peace thing?
Or did my game have some sort of bug and it skipped that and Legion just fell over and it was done?

Does sound like a bug. I mean, the scene played out pretty fast for me (at first, I couldn't comprehend what had just happened and that Legion was dead or why), but this was how it went (roughly) after I brokered peace:

Legion: *says something about an error in the upload and he must go to them*

Tali: Wait! Legion, the answer to your question... is 'yes'. (-- In reference to what Legion said earlier in the mission, asking Tali if she remembered the question that started this whole war... 'Does this unit have a soul?')

Legion: I know, Tali, but thank you. Keelah se'lai. *powers down and flops over*

Annoyed, irritated, dissapointed and sad!
That about sums it all up!

I hardly got any team time with Legion, because he's the last squadmate I recruited during the game.
He does two missions with Tali, then it's off to assault the Collector base.

And since I needed Tali and Mordin to come with me to keep them alive, he doesn't get to come with!

The only mission he got after that was Overlord and that's about all he did in terms of teamplay.

So, I feel cheated that I didn't get enough Geth runtime in ME2 with Legion and now I'll never get any in ME3!

Personally, I wanted an option where the war was resolved peacefully, but Legion didn't die!

I tried that scene every way, but no matter what, Legion still dies.

There should have been a way to achieve his goal and not let him die.

Basically, my unbreakable rule was that Grunt, Legion and Miranda live through the events of ME3.

If even one of them dies, I write the whole game off as a failure!
I could save Grunt and Miranda, so I'm annoyed/disappointed that I could not do the same for Legion!

Thanks frozen! Do you happen to know what song was playing during the upload process?

"I know Tali...Keelah se'lai" brought a sense of such sorrow and joy. So bittersweet.

I didn't care much for Legion, and after watching him die in 3 different ways over two games, I still don't. That unit did not have a soul.

Thanks, I did have a bug  in mine game for some odd reason. Legion just said that thing about "An error in the upload and going to them" and then he just fell over.
It skipped Tali's line and part and then Legion's response.

Wow now I got more salt in the wounds from ME3. I really doubt I can handle doing the game again anytime soon.

Anyone else notice the catch when he apologizes? And how his tone changes as he realizes what he must do?

"Shepard Commander. I must go to them. I'm, I'm sorry."

I love Legion. I don't know why but for me he was always so cute and adorable (I know, I know synthetics blablabla). My maternal instincts always kick in when I speak to him.<3 lol

And I was crying when he died. Seriously. I would sacrifice all quarians if it would make Legion stay alive...

On my first run I did things in the wrong order and DID sacrifice the Quarians.  Then he STILL died!  Then Tali flung herself off a cliff.  Yeah, I cried.
