One more Plea for Power Re-Mapping...

E.g. writing "MButton::Send 3" will activate power number three when pressing the middle mouse button, writing "1::Send 3" will activate power number three when pressing key number 1....

For the PC, you could just download this program and write a simple script:
http://www.autohotkey.com/
E.g.
writing "MButton::Send 3" will activate power number three when
pressing the middle mouse button, writing "1::Send 3" will activate
power number three when pressing key number 1....
I believe there actually is an option like that on PC already, but both available options still mean you'd have to remap every time you change your character and don't like the default mapping.

This should actually be expanded to full key bindings customizations on the 360 as it would be on a PC. I want to map revive to the back button so I don't roll or take cover. Custom controls are also really useful for disabled gamers.
There actually is an online petition with quite a lot of signatures to make full button mapping/customization for console games a requirement for any game to pass the submission process to the platform. Meaning that games without that feature would not even be allowed to be sold for the consoles, with the pressure on the production company. Which I fully support.
In this day and age, when gaming has come such a long way, time enough for millionsof people to develop millions of different control preferences, it still amazes me that production companies still ignore one of the most asked for and most convenient features since games required more than one button to play.
In this instance, the confusion and inconvenience inherent in the default mapping scheme exacerbates the problem to a real nuisance.
I would love to get full mapping for everything.
I would be content with just mapping my own powers.
And I can do this all year.

That's part of the idea behind that "Avenger" controller thing, to help disabled gamers (not how they market it though). Really, you shouldn't have to buy special controllers or add-ons to make up for a developer not adding something as basic as key binding...
I'd REALLY like this for 360. I find a large part of why I play certain classes now is just the convenience of key bindings. Less convenient bindings means I won't play that character/class.

What are you guys talking about? You can remap on the PC, when I play I have my abilities mapped to Q, 2, E
If I wanted to I could change them to MB3, Q, E or any other combination.

We are aware that the PC has the option to remap the keys, yet it means changing/remapping every time you change characters - unless you're happy with the default mapping.
The console versions do not have any such option, the powers are locked to one face and two shoulder buttons, and often in a very inconvenient or confusing manner.
For example, Human Vanguard and Adept have both Shockwave, yet one has it mapped to the left shoulder button, one has it mapped to the right.
What we want is the same option as in the Single Player, to choose which powers are triggered by which keys/buttons for every single character in every single class.

Ah I see, because the game default is power one goes into slot one, and power two goes into slot 2, etc. When you change classes that have similar abilities but they are listed in different order in a different class, it screws up your setup and you have to go back and do it all over again.

There's also the fact that Biotic Charge is on the single worst button for that particular skill. Being bound to Y/triangle, you have to take your thumb off of one of the sticks to press it in a fashion that isn't completely awkward, which means you either stop moving or you stop aiming, depending on if you're south or northpaw.

What's the magic word, here? Do we have to stoop down to spelling mistakes and sentence structure of a six year old?

They take all the threads and put them into Specter Packs. And then they play (during office hours of course) for 15 minutes each day, and when they finally get enough money to buy a pack, they take those six threads, give them each a number and then roll a dice. And the winner gets an answer.

If people stick to classes like infiltrators (Y isn't an aimed power, useful stuff like energy drain on RB), then they might not notice as much.
This thread notes the importance of that sort of feature to disabled gamers:

God, but I feel almost like the people asking for a new ending... But I am not. I am, we all are just asking for this very simple yet priceless feature that would let us play the way we want to, let others play maybe even the way they need to and by all rights should be able to.
And not even a single answer. Not even a "No, forget about it, we're busy making a new ending."
Please BioWare, don't make me post my Sound of Silence thing again. I don't think the world could take that.
