Title says it all. Do I have to buy an EA game first or can I do it without buying a game? Would be nice to know/be fully prepared for tommorow.

In order to register for these bio-ware forums, you have to have an EA ID. You can link your gamertag to your EA ID and then your characters will appear automaticly.

I just logged onto the EA site and accessed the customer support page. From there you can ask the Support Staff to link your Gamertag and EA account. I couldn't do this manually.

Really no $***, I did not know I had to sign up with EA to use these forums. I am asking how I link this/my EA account to my gamertag without buying an EA game first, as in I would like to set it up tonight if possible.

I used my Bioware account when I was signing up for this site. I don't remember making a EA account, I don't think I have one. Can I make a new EA account then link it to my current Bioware account and then link my gamertag to the EA account? Or do I have to make a new Bioware account using a EA account from the start? I've look at my profile and account information but can't find anyway to add a EA account to this one.

Dont think so. It takes like 2 seconds anyway, so just do it when you get the game.

I think you can link your Bioware to the EA Account? And then the EA account becomes your Master Account? If you don't find any answers, please try look in the web help forum. Or possibly PM Chris Priestly about this, so we can get a FAQ about this.

Too many ****ed accounts - this new way of doing DLC is effectively requiring four accounts! You have your original Bioware forum account, then the new Bioware forum account which is 'linked' to both your original account and your EA id, which is in turn connected to your XBL account. Such a ridiculous way of doing things (with so many potential problems) when the framework is all in place already and understood by everybody.

Yeah so I just went to the support site - support.ea.com - and logged in there. Then used the Email us link to tell them what I wanted and supplied my details - Gamertag, EA account name, relevant emails.

Got an email when I arrived at work yesterday from one of the staff telling me he had manually linked my accounts for me. Logged back onto EA and chose my Gamertag as my default persona.

Supposedly you can link them yourself but I didn't manage it.

Okay I figured it out.

1. Go to EA games .com

2. Scroll down till you see LOG IN TO MY PROFILE

3. Log in

4. Scroll down to the heading PERSONA

5. either select you persona for your gamer tag, or hit add persona

6. Enter the relevant info





So there you are, then you just have to register the game tomorrow ( I think) and you should be good to go for DLC etc.

I have three personnas on there. I don't remember making that many. Will whatever I have gotten in any of the three count when I try to get my DLC?

Sorry if I was a bit ambiguous with my first response, I just spend a lot of time at the EA forums so this whole EA ID thing is pretty straightforward to me.

I am having the same issue.. I can not add my gamertag. Says its in use. Only thing I have done for EA is start a Cerberus account. I dont even remember it asking for a EA email when I activated it.

having same issues here. First of, i have 3 EA accounts, one with a hotmail address which is i almost never use. Then i have a other account, which email service no longer exists, and then i have a account, which i du use, but i cannot add my persona's there!!! Damn... Is there anyway to merge EA accounts?
