Oh my .. what the ... farking, flarking, fricking, fracking ..... okay ... THIS ... THIS I can rage about. Why cut THIS out of my game, damnit! I WANT THIS BACK!

People mentioned the soundtrack doesn't fit all the dialogue. My own theory is the 'parent' thing when your Shepard does a same-sex romance but even then it doesn't mean they can't adopt. Weird.

But then, why would Anderson know who you started sleeping with once Earth was attacked? He might have heard of your ME or ME2 LI but he's been a bit busy in ME3 and you barely had time to talk to him anyway.

Considering everybody else seems to figure out who you boinked in Mass Effect 2 and 3... well.

But yeah, it's just a half-hearted possible excuse I thought up as to why they might not have put it in. Still wish it was.

Why in the world was this cut? It's masterful.

NO! My Shepard wanted to have a family more than anything else. He lost his family on Mindoir, and his unit on Akuze, The one thing he wanted most was to find that someone to share his life with, and maybe have kids with! NOOOOOOOOOOOO "No way I'll get away memory's here to stay Deep Cuts the Knife"

From what I've heard, you get this dialogue if you didn't romance anyone. Just hearsay, though. No idea if it's true, and no inclination to find out. I just headcannon that this convo took place. It IS touching. Just...DAMN.....

Damn, when it did get so dusty in here...s'all in my eyes..

I too am having this problem, perhaps it's a growing dust epidemic. This strange fluid pouring from my ocular orifices that I haven't seen before...

Actually, Kasumi is just cloaked behind you, chopping onions.

I really wish this had been in the game.

Especially Jennifer Hale's voice acting for this scene. Amazinggg.

That was beautiful. Every second of it.

I think it would have made the ending even more depressing, though, to tell everyone that Shepard would have made a great parent and then he/she is separated from his/her LI forever and/or dies.

I thought I had that dialogue but it was something different.

Yeah... I actually liked this version than what was in the game, but I can see why it was cut. As Anderson already has a family. But this version would have made a lot of people cry. I mean, the way I see it, it's not about Shepard having a family and being a parent, but more like living another day after the war. Some hope or something. Like I said, this version in the game would have made me cry.

What do you mean he already has a family?

If I remember correctly, in the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC in ME2, there is a file about Anderson, an email, between his ex-wife and son. I'm sure it's on the Mass Effect Wiki, too. I'm sure you'll find it there.

Damn, I need to stop cutting onions when watching youtube. These both had a lot more impact than the other stuff. And I'd have been good with it ending on that note.

I gather he isn't really on good terms with his son and ex-wife.  So you could say he gave up his family for military service.

Its such a emotional conversation i just don't get why this was cut, if they do something with the ending as there's been so much uproar about it i expect to see this put back in.

Although this scene is really good, I think I like the one in the game more, this one kind of softens the blow by giving anderson more dialogue.

I love this one, too bad you have to stay single throughout the series to get it.

Oh, is that how it's unlocked? That...kinda sucks. How many players actually stayed single throughout the trilogy?

I know right, haha.  I can't help it, I fall for Jack everytime.  I might just do it for that scene, I haven't heard the femshep version though.
