So there are people talking crap about the ending and saying the series doesn't deserve that or w/e, they're going as far as to do this www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/03/14/mass-effect-3-petition-raises-40k-criticisms.aspx (That's a good way to make your bull**** worth something, at least).

But I wanted to ask you: Don't listen. It is not to listen because the story is yours, you are the creatores or w/e. Besides all crap they are asking for there is one thing I almost agree with them. We need to know how our actions throughout the series changed the galaxy, and how will it be done? Not patching the story, but with a sequel. And that's why you won't listen, because this game has everything in it to have a sequel where everything made by Shepard will be accounted for.

I know, the mass relays were destroyed. So what? There is nothing stopping BioWare from creating a game that takes place on a single system (or a couple of them, since you can travel through near systems using FTL travel.

I would go as far as to say that nothing stops BioWare from creating a game that will take place in multiple systems separately that in the end will be united by some sort of discovery or whatsoever.

Shepard's story is (almost) over. Face it. But Mass Effect can still live after Shepard's event. There will also be more to the story as DLCs will come and so far we don't actually know how Shepard's story will REALLY end.

So I am asking once again. Please, BioWare, do what you want to do with the game and don't listen to them. Because so far, Mass Effect has been one of the best franchises I've played these years.

<now you can throw the stones at me>

EDIT : changed title from all caps to normal. Sorry about that.

Or not, cause we're smarter than that and doing so would simply validate your intent with your thread.

We respect your opinion, have a nice night.

No stones. Just... points. It is their artistic vision. A vision that was supposed to be ours, too.

Don't change a thing Bioware.

Also, no business will be lost. These whiners will buy any DLC, and they certainly will buy ME4, or ME: Miranda or whatever.

We should start a petition and raise money for charity! Demand that Bioware NOT change the ending!

So bioware shouldn't change it because ONE person is protesting against thousands of people?

Hm

You do realise this statement quite possibly contradicts your topic heading? In that they always intended to release the ending later.

If they don't fix the ending you can guarantee a lot of people will be unhappy and won't buy the "sequel."

Besides the charity was just so something good can come out of all this crap. Rather then rage at least we're doing something good regardless of endings being changed or not.

It's every fan's right to complain and petition for change. It's Bioware's right to do whatever they want.

But if they want to sell me any DLC for this game, they'd better do something about the ending. Otherwise, I'll just shrug, and ask, "what's the point"? If they want to sell me future trilogies, they better do something about the ending. Otherwise, I'll just shrug and ask, "why bother? We'll just get screwed at the ending anyways."

I'm going to attempt to translate the OP: "Please BioWare, ignore the 98% of your fanbase who don't like the current ending, because it gives me pleasure when other people aren't enjoying themselves."

yeah don't listen to the ones that keep you in business...
I wouldn't even care to be honest, if they give an official statement saying that they aren't going to change the endings (or they weren't real) then ok, its done.
But to say that they shouldn't listen to the fans...since we keep them in business and all, is just ridiculous

I love that response. "You can't tell them how to do their art!"

What have great artists through history needed to have? Patrons.  They didn't make stuff for free, and if the people paying for it didn't like it, boy howdy. Any art historian can tell you this.

You can't tell the fans of your game that you shape the ending and get three "choices" that basically end the same exact way. It goes again everything Mass Effect has ever been.

Look at the bright side, you in the 5%: you're all set. You have your perfect endings so you don't need the DLC.

Enjoy FutureChild, plotholes and the Normandy crash. If you love those things, take them.

Xusa, did you ever use the dialogue wheel? You know, the thing that gave you choices?  Do you wish the Mass Effect Series never had that wheel at all?

The point isn't to patch the ending, it's to add more options that are bigger variance, closure, and so on. I dislike the endings but hate the idea of changeing the ending/s.

In fact, I submit that Bioware shouldn't listen to you. You're one voice amonst thousands who disagree.

But I won't because most of us are better than that. Just keep in mind that Bioware is a purely for-profit company. They won't do a damn thing unless there is money to be had (nothing wrong with that, it's the truth).

Also keep in mind that when you decide to call the opposing side's argument crap, you end up making yourself look bad and devalue your own argument.

It's quite possible to like the ending without acting like a martyr.

I liked Dragon Age II. You don't see me complaining about how everyone is mean to me.

Exactly. It's just like Star Wars. Everybody hates Star Wars for Epi 1,2 and 3 and yet, everyone went to the cinemas to see them.

And troll? Just because I disagree with you? Grow up.

Excuse me? The only thing we're really asking for is the same thing *you* asked for -- to see the VARIED consequences of our actions in a way that makes sense.

And I assure you, I'm not about to buy any non-ending DLC. LOL. I'm not a tool.
