I was wondering if anyone told her to "go change her name" when you meet her on the docks before the Cerberus invasion. Afterwards people in the docks say she told them her name was Kelly Chambers and killed her on the spot. I was wondering if telling her to change her name was a way to save her.

I didn't notice that option when I talked to her. But I was mostly excited about getting my fish back and listening to her horror story.

yes you can save her by telling her to change her name, you get an ex cerberus engineers war asset out of it.

But I told her I was pissed off that she spied on me. She cried and said she was sorry. Shep wanted nothing to do with it. She committed suicide with a cyanide capsule.

Wait, I never actually saw Kelly but what your telling me is that Kelly "poledancer" Chambers dies if you don't talk to her?

I didn;t tell her to change her name. Mostly because I thought, wow, a woman on the run from Cerberus would never answer "yes" when a Cerberus operative asked if she was Kelly Chambers. All things considered, when I found out she did that, I just figured 'Darwin Award" and shrugged it off.
