No.
Not really a good comparison though, as LOTR had a satisfying ending where the good guys clearly won.

There is no proof that the DLC is for the ending.

Enough with the "entitlement" crap. No, just, no. Paying customers are allowed to voice their opinions, particularly if they felt the company led them astray, It's no different than anyone else selling a product.
You do have the right to voice your opinion. But you do not have the right to demand them change their story. And yes, most of the "resistance" is acting like entitled children.

The only reason you perceive it as a buzzword is because people who can see things objectively have found that the entitlement is out of control.

Yes, we do have the right to demand. Sorry pal, we have every right, or no rights. Facts be facts.

Logic! Thank you, I think that's an important distinction that people are missing. It's not your opinion that's under attack, even I was somewhat put off by the ending at first.

I actually like the endings... No they don't explain certain things but they do certainly do one thing that was promised to us. They put a definitive end to Shepards story.
That was the point of the third game of the Trilogy. Put an end to the Reaper Threat and end Shepards story. People like to complain that we didn't get in effect Mass Effect:Origions for the Endings... but if we had. they probably would have complained about that too.
People complain our choices don't matter. But there are a lot of different effects if you look close in ME 3 that are about our choices dating all the way back into ME 1. They can actually even affect what endings we have access to. Specially if we're not that thurough about playing ME 3.
I'm to a point that I don't think any ending they could have given us would have made a lot of people happy. If Shepard survives we have to sift through 1000 or so posts of "Oh here comes Mass Effect 67 with Shepard Clone number 5. Just you wait". We've seen what killing shepard does of course... And we all know that a Dragon Age style ending of Shepard fading away in some form is entirely unaccpetable to a lot of people... So it didn't really leave them a lot to work with either.
So really considering all of this. They don't really owe us anything.

I don't think Bioware should apologize. It isn't like people sat down in a roundtable discussion and brainstormed ideas on how to write an ending that would be hated by most of the people who purchased a product they had poured their blood, sweat, and tears into. I would assume they thought most people would like the endings.
But I do hope that Bioware is paying attention to fans' reaction, and releases DLC that presents Shepard with a fourth, and more satisfying choice during that final conversation.

II have no problem with Shepard dying, if he dies while saving the galaxy. That doesn't happen in ME3. He gets 3 variations of a fail ending.

If I buy a pair of shoes that fail to live up to the quality promised, the shoemaker owes me some form of compensation. If I read a book and dislike the story, the author owes me nothing. Apparently, video games are more similar to the former than the latter.

They're not entitled. All the PR nonsense led to this. Many promised were made over the course of the development and the end result wasn't what was promised. There's an agreement between writer and reader and that was pretty much thrown out the window.

Do you think it's about time the person who made the ME3 endings came forward and apologized to fans?
When Blizzard's Chris Metzen broke Warcraft lore in World of Warcraft he was very open about this and let fans know he would try his best to prevent this happening in the future.
While there was only one forum of complaints, Metzen still took it on himself to take life by the ballz and man up to his mistakes.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Metzen_on_lore
http://www.lorecraft...dar-retcon.html
Biowares blunder is countless forums and petitions, it's getting out of control.
Do you think the same manliness will come out of Bioware? Or will they keep telling us that their vision is perfect and it's us fans who need to adapt....
Because I think that is worse, just sitting in the dark looking over our shoulders while asking vague questions, it's not what men do. It certainly isn't what Shepard would do.
What do you guys think, should Bioware come clean or not?
Nope. I think its time we got an announcement for ME4 / and tie in DLC
Well so long as its been released in every country long enough for the majority of people to have reached the end. Then it's time to tell everyone what the cliffhanger ending was really all about.
