Whether you loved or hated the ending, I think we can agree that we all share the same respect for:

Marauder Shields.

The husk, the myth, the legend.  

The final boss of not just Mass Effect 3, but the entire trilogy. The one who injured killed Shepard. The villian hero we deserved. Let's show him some respect.

Eva Core omni-bladed me in the chest 6 times in a row because I had the Arc-pistol equipped. I eventually rage quit and restarted the entire mission just to switch guns.

He only killed me once, when I got surprised he popped out and missed when I shot him.

Next time he ate several headshots, went down easy.

You must be mistaken. Marauder Shields never goes down easy.

Also, he's not dead.

If it was insanity, I'd probably still be sitting here trying to kill him. No, just normal, the slow motion aiming kept messing me up.

Everyone's playthrough should end with Marauder Shields killing your Shepard. From now on I'm going to get to that point and then shut off my xbox.

I suggest you all do the same.

He's probably the most powerful and scary thing in ME3. I got all respect for him, he did after all get a shot off

Exactly. I really hope Mac Walters writes a pre-Earth comic book series for him. Hell, I'd even take another Dietz novel. I'll just head-cannon anything that is out of character (non-badass) that doesn't portray him as the most epic villian in the Mass Effect series, no in any series.

He made The Shepard bleed..... which caused him to hallucinate the Catalyst event? Oh my god guys... did Marauder Shields ruin the ending? He's even more badass than I thought. +1

I have yet to get to Mr Marauder Shields but this thread is just pure win.

For a moment he regained his free will.

But the endings ... the Reapers had shown him. They had shown him what would happen if Shepard succeeded.

So he vowed to stop him. To spare the galaxy the suffering of having to witness such bad endings.

He then heard him approach. Peeking over the debris he saw Shepard coming.

He knew what he had to do. Thinking of his wife and children, probably indoctrinated by now, he charged, attempting to defy the will of Bioware.

And his name was Marauder Shields.
