There is nothing wrong with consumers voicing their opinion, that's the basis of a so-called free market based society. In fact it's to be expected when the product in question has placated itself in the lives of numerous consumers, a perfect example would be Daewoo Automobiles, the company created a economical, affordable car with a tremendous warranty, however, when they had to file bankruptcy they sent letters to all those who currently had one of their automobiles financed and not fully paid for and offered a longer warranty or to purchase the vehicle back at the price remaining on the loan...that was a well respected move that earned them a ton of respect from the consumers because they showed who was important to them. Whether it's a toaster, automobile, computer or even a game, a corporation or company of modern day society is suppose to cater to their consumers. There is no artistic value in a video game...period, because if you ****** off your buyers, then beware the next profit margin meeting when you have to explain a loss to your shareholders. That's where the success and failure in a free market comes into play, despite what Bioware might or might not believe.
That said, I don't believe this is the end of Mass Effect 3, I've been hearing the spatter of rumors that Bioware wanted this effect on people, because they'll be launching a DLC that continues the story and has the real ending...as to whether or not that is true, I do hope so for the sake of Bioware who I've long respected and had an affinity for.
