Every video I watch, people actually try to dodge the laser and stuff. Makes me lol.
Be honest... Who didn't just run in a straight line to the Conduit?

I did my best not to get fried by the ship-killer laser beams, thank you very much.

I dodged. You fought a reaper earlier in the game that shot beams at you. How am I supposed to know this isn't some scripted encounter?
Is it unreasonable for to think that they might actually have to take some sort of action to survive in that situation when they are seeing it for the first time?

I admit, I thought what I was doing actually mattered.

I zig-zagged. I actually think that scene was a stroke of brilliance. A mad dash to salvation with the enemy doing everything they can to stop you from making it.

I.. I actually tried really hard to dodge.

I would've laughed if you could get hit and get Critical Mission Failure.

I probably rolled, can't recall if that was an option or not. But I can't go more than ten steps without rolling, it's like some sort of weird addiction.

I did a roleplay-appropriate degree of juking in between checking the radar to see if my squaddies got toasted.

I just ran because it didn't matter either way

I wasn't dodging the beam ...
... I was dodging the mako and that copter thingy.

I dodged like mad, since that made sense in relation to the rest of the game. How was I supposed to know that's when the game stopped making sense?

That happened to me enough times on Rannoch.
Pretty sure I killed Shepard with a heart attack from all the combat rolling

When I stumbled through a laser I started to get the slight feeling that it was all scripted.

I dodged. I assumed that we were supposed to.
When we finally get hit I almost reloaded my last save to try again.
