Its too bad that a Vanguard has to be able to lock on to an enemy to charge. It would have been hella' useful to be able to charge all the way down to the beam.

Lets see if Harbinger can aim his death beam at a Vanguard zipping around the battlefield like a flea on crack...

I kinda went to the extreme left, away from harby, and laughed and sprinted and ran while laughing at the infinite pairs of soldiers running down the middle as they got vaporised.

Then I got hit by a homing beam travelling thrice the speed of light.

I did my best not to get fried by the ship-killer laser beams, thank you very much.

Same here, I had the end spoiled to me by watching a friend play. I was hoping if I could avoid his beam... things would be different....

the whole "you have to walk painfully slow" just shows how little they were concerned with their viewers enjoyment. If the dreams had been a mini-game that you had to keep up with the kid they would have been entertaining. if the ending run had been an actual "dodge the lasers" level it would have been enjoyable as well.

I dodged like mad, since that made sense in relation to the rest of the game. How was I supposed to know that's when the game stopped making sense?

When the Starchild showed up.

I just found it absurdly retarded that they would all mad rush it in one mass in a wide open path...thats like " kill lane 101" the whole idea would have had Master Tsu doing flips in his grave

sure had some sacrificial lambs to draw fire, but hell, one or two people could have flanked the thing and gone through the rubble and come at it from the side, may have made for a harder target, and not draw as much attention...
*sigh

I'm sure they were going for the "storming the beaches" feel.

And you can't really flank a Reaper, so...

The fact that Shepard gets utterly BLASTED IN THE FACE by what could be considered a weapon of mass destruction, then gets up a moment later and shakes it off was were things started getting sketchy for me

I would've laughed if you could get hit and get Critical Mission Failure.

And have the game uninstall itself so u can feel like u really let the whole galaxy down.

I was dodging all over the place. I actually thought I failed when I got nuked and was being treated to a cool extra "you screwed up" scene.

Then it didn't stop.

I dodged. You fought a reaper earlier in the game that shot beams at you. How am I supposed to know this isn't some scripted encounter?

Me too.  The game set precedent that when reapers were firing at you, you must move as quickly as possible from side to side to not be incinerated.

I realized about halfway through the encounter that these reaper explosions were merely 'for show' so I slowed down a bit to take it all in.
