MARAUDER SHEILDS ALWAYS TRIUMPHS!

After the game ended, I realized that some Marauder was the last enemy I actually shot. In Mass Effect 3, the last thing I shot was a Turian husk.

But that Marauder was trying. Trying to warn me, trying to help me. Maybe he had a copy of the script and was going to show me the scene with Space Boy, who knows? All I know it that the Marauder was ON MY SIDE, and I failed him with a head shot.

Farewell, Marauder Shields.

Gaah me too.  He was worse than the Rannoch reaper.  I had to set the difficulty to "casual".

Marauder Shields was one of my favorite characters in Mass Effect 3 hands down.
I think I'm going to print my own fan shirt of Marauder Shields - easily recognizable by every true Mass Effect fan. :>

Why the hell did he shoot the dying soldier though?

It gets me every time. He's just so nonchalant about it.

There was nothing nonchalant about it. He needed to make sure the deed was done. He needed to put down Shepard before he reached the end. Sometimes, such brutality is necessary to save the galaxy.

His self appointed mission was to guard that conduit and shoot anyone who came near it to spare them the pain.
He bravely sacrificed himself for this cause. He is the true hero of Mass Effect, the last guardian of it's integrity.

Marauder shields tried ot save us all. He was the greatest final boss of all time.

And Hudson said having a final boss was too much like a video game. Ha. For a second, I almost actually thought I WAS playing a video game, one I really loved and have grown deeply attached to the world and charachters of.
