I hate EDI.

Everything about EDI pisses me off. Always had since ME2.
I hate the character concept. It's cliche and unoriginal. The "feminine spaceship avatar" thing is done to death.
I hate not being able to get it to shut up, on a ship I supposedly command.
I hate how, in ME3, I'm railroaded into being nice to EDI.
I hate the lame humor.
I hate how the Alliance didn't gut the bloody thing out of the ship despite AI being supposedly banned.
I hate how my entire crew in ME3 is supportive of EDI in a misguided attempt to guilt me into liking it. Yes, "it".
In ME3, my hate has been amplified a thousandfold. I hate this "sexy" body, obviously inserted to appease fanboys. They are even open about it. They wrote it in the bloody artbook that they "designed EDI to be sexy". I hate not being able to jettison this stupid body into space and confine EDI to the ships. And above all, I hate the awkward, forced "romance" between Joker and his glorified sexbot, evidently inserted to appease shippers.
All of my hate. Augh. Throughout all my time spent playing ME3, I was doing my damnedest to pretend that this stupid excuse at a squadmate didn't exist.

And kill off the geth too, invalidating Legion's sacrifice? I can't do that.Ailith430 wrote...

Kiiiinda psychotic.
Allow me to counteract the goddamn creepy monster truck force cynicism. I like EDI. As a character, I think she brings an even more interesting dynamic as a mobile platform. Making her attractive is immaterial, to me. I still find her interesting, as a talking sphere. Giving her a body simply gives her more opportunity for growth. I'm not so jaded that I was prevented from enjoying that growth. Now, I'm going to back away, slowly.

Can I be your friend?
I've hated her since ME2 too. Bioware didn't even bother to let us have our pick of squad members then they screw up Jacob and Thane but let's give EDI a spot on the crew and a fleshed out storyline.
Seriously???!!!!!

It would at least be nice to give Commander Shepard an option to vomit every time a character talks about how sexy the sexbot is.

BW gives you the best solution, EDI in a sexy robot body. Problem fixed.

That makes no logical sense. There must be another, less logical reason you don't like EDI.
She is as important to the theme as Legion. Or was, until you got to the end of the game.

EDI was necessary for them to enhance the introspection on the organic vs synthetic dilemma, that is all. Plus people love Joker, and want his character to win.

They should have done something more along the lines of Cortona from Halo. I think that would have been more intresting than giving her a full physical form.
Would not have complained there... But they did do that already... her name's 'Avina' lol
