I don't really care much for her looks, I just like her interactions on missions like on the Geth Dreadnought... xD

In some places I feel demonized for simply just being an EDI fan. Yeah, she's a throwback character. But I love the retro-futuristic feel of her. The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is one of my favorite books of all time, and her interaction with Shepard greatly reminds of the Mycroft/Manuel interactions.
The synthetic/ organic equality is emphasized so heavily in this trilogy that when people are offended that an AI can be good looking I start to doubt if they actually got that message.
I understand having an opinion on the matter but I don't understand making hate topics for characters you don't approve of.
I'm not a big fan of James Vega or Jacob but I'm not going to perpetuate that and make a big deal about it. This is the BSN, there are a dozen LI's to choose. There are 100's of characters to love or hate. You can't rationalize how or why someone likes someone.

However, in 3, she's just Asimov's wet dream, and likes to spout ridiculously stupid, psuedo-psychological bullcrap and REALLY BLINDINGLY obvious ****.
And she likes to get in the way of my sniper shots.
I wish I could blow her head off.
It doesn't help that she took over the body of the ROBOT WHO TRIED TO KILL MY LI. Because that isn't WAY creepy.
She's half the reason I picked the red flavor. The other half being I know it was right since Anderson wanted it and the SpaceChild is clearly Harbinger.
And yes, the romance between her and Joker was glaringly forced and stupid. Joker, you're awesome - that's why you need femShep, not Adrian Barbobot. (Do I get props for making a Sealab joke?)

Also, I should add that I hate that every conversation Shep ever had was just Shep having to convince EDI, YES, WE REALLY BELIEVE YOU'RE HUMAN.
Legion did this way better.
Hell, Data from STAR TREK explored this better.
The worst part was the mission you had to take her on on TIM's ship.
"Shepard, you might want to access that terminal." "GEE, you think?" "While I open this door." "...Well, that is the only reason we brought you along, so yeah, do that." "Commander, am I human?" "Oh Christ EDI, really? Right now? I'm fighting an Atlas here! Shut up about it!"

I actually found her body and everything unattractive though. And her face was kinda ugly.
Still, I enjoy her.

They actually explain that. She pretends to be an AI. Since shackled AI can't lie and they don't think anyone would be stupid enough to unshackle one and EDi's smart enough to pretend to be a simple VI, they believed her.I hate how the Alliance didn't gut the bloody thing out of the ship despite AI being supposedly banned.
I hate killing off the geth but, well, it's that or turning Shepard into a Reaper (which I'm convinced will just lead to the cycle starting over again in about 50,000 years once Shepard's gone crazy from existing for too long and seeing the same kind of crap that the Catalyst did) or violating the galaxy by turning everything half-organic/half-synthetic. And you know that that won't even keep the peace because one day the pure-synthetic creatures will rise up against their half-organic oppressors. And kill off the geth too, invalidating Legion's sacrifice? I can't do that.

Personally I wouldn't have given her a body and if I did I would have given her a more androgynous look, not a HEY LOOK BOOBS look.
They also kinda force the point of EDI IS SEXY EVERYONE !!!11!!1! A few characters besides Joker make comments about her to Shepard.
All in all not a choice I'd have made for the game but hey its not the worst one they made

Yeah, I was kind of peeved when my LI (Kaiden) commented on it, especially since that body tried to kill him on Mars.
I wouldn't have minded it if he hadn't of said it in such a... creepy, obvious way. If he had said it differently, it would have been okay, but he said something about her having a nice body in like, a really sleazy creepy way that made me want to throw his ass out of an airlock.

Furthermore EDIs 'sexiness' was kind of justified; its an infiltration unit, presumably it has probably had to seduce to gain access to certain things. An real world example of this could be the KGB honey traps. Whether this explanation satisfies you is a matter of personal taste

good job, you hate probably the most valuable asset to your ship, actually, you hate your ship, here's a medal, and acookie, and tickertape parade. happy?lucidfox wrote...
I'm sorry if there is already such a thread, but if there is, I can't find it.
Everything about EDI pisses me off. Always had since ME2.
I hate the character concept. It's cliche and unoriginal. The "feminine spaceship avatar" thing is done to death.
I hate not being able to get it to shut up, on a ship I supposedly command.
I hate how, in ME3, I'm railroaded into being nice to EDI.
I hate the lame humor.
I hate how the Alliance didn't gut the bloody thing out of the ship despite AI being supposedly banned.
I hate how my entire crew in ME3 is supportive of EDI in a misguided attempt to guilt me into liking it. Yes, "it".
In ME3, my hate has been amplified a thousandfold. I hate this "sexy" body, obviously inserted to appease fanboys. They are even open about it. They wrote it in the bloody artbook that they "designed EDI to be sexy". I hate not being able to jettison this stupid body into space and confine EDI to the ships. And above all, I hate the awkward, forced "romance" between Joker and his glorified sexbot, evidently inserted to appease shippers.
All of my hate. Augh. Throughout all my time spent playing ME3, I was doing my damnedest to pretend that this stupid excuse at a squadmate didn't exist.
