[Nordica]

There's a Mass Effect iPad app called Datapad and apparently u get messages on it from squadmates as u progress through the game. Some people are reporting getting this message AFTER the Ending:

 

Also, apparently Mass Effect's Twitter account has been dropping hints like crazy...

User 1: "I still want to believe you guys are sneaky trolls and have something going on you don't tell us yet. Can I get a cryptic reply?"
@masseffect: "The sun, it shines. www.youtube.com/watch"


User 2: "You are either a massive sadist or a beacon of hope."
@masseffect: "Can't it be both?"


User 3: "I kinda feel lost after that ending...not what I expected and left me feeling everything done was for nothing."
@masseffect: "We know it's a lot to take in! But hang in there. Your decisions matter."


User 4: "Are you holding something back, that could quell the large amount of frustration from the community, a tiny hint would be enough."
@masseffect: "Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different."


User 5: "I loved 98% of ME3..but something has to be up w/ ending..too much talent at BW for that business. Keep my saves?"
@masseffect: "We're keeping our saves, that's for sure."


User 6: "Fans are people too. Playing with their minds isn't that nice as it may look like to people from Bioware."
@masseffect: "We're not playing with anyone's minds, we are answering what questions we can and recording what feedback we receive."


User 7: "Its not that the ending was taken in the wrong direction its that it makes NO SENSE. Ashley was on the Normandy? she [was] with me."
@masseffect: "Probably a good thing to be cautious of."


User 8: "Do y'all have any ETA when more news will be released? Dying for news on a new ending/DLC."
@masseffect: "No ETA yet, but you will be updated via Facebook and Twitter when the news is available ."

No, the message from LI doesn't come at the end of the game.

It comes at the beginning immediately after meeting the LI, before meeting the Alliance Council.

You can check it if you have ME: Datapad.

Eh, I hope they've moved past the coy hinting stage and onto making substantial statements before Borderlands 2 hits in September. I'll gladly trade mindless shooting and potty humor over soul ache and BS.

My first reaction is that I feel mildly annoyed that there's no apps for my ****ty android devices.

I can't really have hope when the aren't just out-right saying that we are working on something to do with the endings. Really, that wouldn't be to damned hard to do and wouldn't give away anything about the game. IMO, they are saying these things to give people FALSE hope so that they will keep their copies. Because if they keep their copies, then they won't sell them to gamestop. If they don't sell them to gamestop, then more people will buy new instead used which means more money for EA.

I don't think so. People on tumblr have been getting it after finishing the game..

I don't see why they'd put in a fake ending just to annoy peop[le.

considering how much negative press it's given them, people returning games, giving low score, it's costing them money.

I think at most all they'll do is explain the ending as it is.

You guys sure like to get your hopes up , that Magic space kid stupid end , is the real end , they just rush the end thats it , and more , i dont believe in any Fix Dlc for the endings , soon you see more MP maps and Characters.

just curious, had anyone who got this message gotten it from a LI other than Ash/Kaiden? I.e. Liara, Garrus, Tali, Cortez or Trayner? Is do can you post a pic of it?

I fairly certain that message from the App is meant to come at the start, when you begin a new game, he's referring to being allowed in the detention center.
But big shocker, tie in app is broken and poorly executed.

Wow thats great. So they decided to ship a game without its ending so they could make you pay on top of the game itself for the ending? That's great business if consumers swallow it.

If it works, hopefully all the movies, novels and game companies follow this trend and as*fuc* their willing consumers. It is capitalism after all
