"User 7: "Its not that the ending was taken in the wrong direction its that it makes NO SENSE. Ashley was on the Normandy? she [was] with me."
@masseffect: "Probably a good thing to be cautious of."

Uhm.
WHAT.

Okay, I'm seriously confused now. Is this an admission that those events don't make sense? More importantly, are they saying they deliberately put a plot hole into the game?

Part of me is raging. The other part of me is wanting to play ME3 again.

I think what they meant by that was:
Don't believe everything u see. Think about whether it makes sense.

You guys sure like to get your hopes up , that Magic space kid stupid end , is the real end , they just rush the end thats it , and more , i dont believe in any Fix Dlc for the endings , soon you see more MP maps and Characters.

The problem is, the ending is just messed up. Throughout the game, there's so much attention to detail, things that only fans will see and understand, then literally the last five minutes are like someone would tear a random page out of a wacky sci-fi and slapped it for the game's ending, with plotholes the size of Citadel. When I was presented with
the choice (and I'm guessing it was the same with most), my first reaction was: "what the hell? This can't be right."

Sadly, the way it's done, it can't really be indoctrination or hallucination either (after all, how would Shepard know what happened to Normandy, what would be the purpose of old guy and kid and why would the ending frame state that Shepard is now known as the savior?).

So yeah, I'm in the depression phase.

It's the phrasing that gets me, though.
Why would you say "cautious"?
Why not, "Would be something to think about?"

If they've got something coming out to provide a "real" ending, I'm not happy for a few reasons. They should have let us know - the vagueness is overrated. They should have a little more polish to their games, releasing one as major as this when it's missing the end of the game is in poor taste. This isn't an MMO, I expect that when I play one. I've come to expect more from Bioware from all the years dating back to Baldur's Gate.

But, I will be happy because I got my "real" ending for Mass Effect that makes sense (hopefully). I think this is why it bothers me more than anything. I've gotten emotionally invested with these characters, the story, and the Mass Effect universe. In more years gaming then I'm going to admit, that hasn't really happened. Not like this.

Hells bells I've wanted to get an N7 tattoo, and I'm pretty strict about what ink I get put on my body - it would be the only one that doesn't fit with the rest that I have. I'm glad at this point that I haven't had the funds over the years to justify a new tattoo. Right now it would just make me sick to look at it.

I know Bioware wasn't "out to get me" but, I'm one of the ones they knew would be upset. Fool me once and all.

Mass Effect 2 had a great ending.

All I hoped for from the ending of Mass Effect 3 was another ending like that, with potential consequences of my actions or inactions, and a synposis of the galaxy after I stopped the Reapers.

I'm still pretty positive the LI messages are NOT from when Shepard is under lockdown at the beginning of the game. When you talk to Ash (not sure if its the same with Kaiden) Shepard mentions how she never visited or tried to contact her, and Ash says it was because she was still distrusting of Shepard after the whole Cerberus incident. So taking that into account, a message from them saying "Hey, Im gonna visit you" makes no sense.

I'm just wondering...I really don't like posting negative stuff, so that being said, please don't take it as such. If they did make another ending and made people pay (and most would, I would sadly), how much would they charge? How much would they make? Talk about the most purchased DLC for a game ever.

I don't have anything against DLC, but there's a time for it. DLC on the same day of release is not really cool at all. Even though it is totally optional, people will feel cheated. A DLC released for an ending that should have been in the first place, again, people will feel cheated.

I'm extremely curious what they have up their sleeves. I'd love to see if they make an attempt to resolve their fan's frustrations and disappointment. It really seems these "tiny hints" are much bigger than a simple pat on the shoulder and apology. We'll see.

Deep down, a part of me assumes they won't charge for it. I'm hoping anyway. It's likely there will be a lot of DLC that would be true DLC (additions to the game and not nesessities to the plot) that they could charge people for guilt free. They have something up their sleeve, that much is clear now.

They ditched the entire momentum of the game in favor of trying to be intellectual and thought-provoking.
The way this story had been going up until the end, you were supposed to win.  You might die, althought considering that happened once already it's a little anticlimactic, but you were supposed to save the galaxy.  In some recognizable form.  That was the momentum.  That's why the ending felt like hitting a brick wall.

If they've deceived us, and a "true" ending is forthcoming, then they are evil geniuses.

I think people might be getting their hopes up, only to be let down. I'm skeptical about this, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.

My OP reaction:

"You bastards. You MAGNIFICENT bastards."

If this actually pans out I will forgive Bioware any and all transgressions.

No, the message from LI doesn't come at the end of the game.

It comes at the beginning immediately after meeting the LI, before meeting the Alliance Council.

You can check it if you have ME: Datapad.

I don't think so. People on tumblr have been getting it after finishing the game..

nope, just started a new one, met Kaidan and there it was.

As long as they don't charge for it, I'd be very happy with a 'true ending' dlc. I hope the rumours are true (though am sceptical)

The endings of the game, such as they are (and 50% of the rest of the game) got spoiled for me without my looking at a single spoiler thread. In fact, the endings were ruined because I went on YouTube to watch a trailer for ME3 and some troll had posted massive endgame spoilers in the comments section. <_<

If it turns out that the real ending wasn't spoiled for me because Bioware held it back to release later, I will be extremely happy, and actually kind of grateful that they've safeguarded some of the game, and thus my enjoyment of it, against those who would ruin it for others just for the lulz.

Unless they try to charge for it, of course. In which case, I will be highly irritated and will probably not buy, as a matter of principle. They shouldn't charge more money for core content.

What if Kaiden is dead and in heaven while Shephard is in hell? I mean Kaiden says "Come down to see you today" after all.

I could use some good news.

Hey not to burst your bubble, but when you beat the game you come back before the start of the mission to find TIM base right? So the LI message is before you beat the game and not after.

I hope they release something for free. It'll be the best thing ever done in the world, ever = D

The only thing is though, what about those people with no internet connections, how do they get this DLC if it is coming?
