I bet it's just PR for a new DLC that happens before the "ending".

I got that same message from Ash at the start of the game.

I thinks he is saying he/she may get to see you in confinement.

The message is definitely from the beginning. If its showing up at the 'end', its because the datapad sends out an almost random amount of messages, but seems to have priority to LIs.

Or, the simple fact is that message is glitched. Either way, why would Kaidan be sending that message at the end of the game? He'd be like, "YO ARE YOU ALIVE?!"

The day the announce the new ending, we will cheer and cry nerdy tears of joy. We will breathe a collective sigh of relief the likes of which the world hadn't heard since the Cuban Missile Crisis. Till then, I'm a freaking wreck of stress.

Uh hello, this is the final game of the most beloved character in recent video game history. If you were a game designer, and tried to find out how to properly end the series, wouldn't you try something desperate to make sure it was the absolute best.

Or it's just PR bull****. Of course bioware would never stoop to that, right?

And by the way if this is true, it's not good, if they planned this. Then all those stupid jokes about DLCware and "only $15 dollars for the ending" will be true. You will literally be paying to see the end of the game. Not sure about you, but I'm not okay with that.

Seeing that I allready spent 90€ for the collectors edition, theres noway i will pay more just to get the ending that should have been in the original game. So yeah i´m with you mate. I´m not okay with that option

*edit* Also would be reaaally nice if bioware and ea would take their head out of Apple´s ass and release the datapad app for windows phone 7 and android aswell

If after all this the news is going to be something like "New MP DLC! Have fun kids! Oh, and we were just yanking your chain with the foreshadowing about discussion on the endings!" I'm going to be soooo p***ed it's not even funny.

I hate when people argue that because it has FTL or is set in the future with various aliens that you can never use the term realistic. The game is realistic in the guidelines and boundaries that the universe created...space god children and space magic are not.

If they gave us the same amount of information, we might have accepted it. Instead spacekid talks less than Legion did in the consensus.

Then perhaps there is hope the game doesn't end there, unless you want it to.

Maybe I wished for too much: After finishing Mass Effect 2, I had hoped that Shepard would have the option of sacrificing himself for a greater good, even while the majority of his squadmates are alive (A.K.A.: Easier to die for ending). Well, guess what? We have that option, and thats pretty much it, for the most part.

When this bloody reaper war is over, I'm taking a vacation with the whole normandy crew. I think I want to go to someplace tropical in-game; The tropical locations I saw in ME2 were amazing; never thought I would be on a beach with my love interest as we were looking out into the sea.

I for one am tired of all these coy, cryptic messages... for now they are taken for face value and dismissed. I am really not interested in any sort of message till its stamped "Official"

their reply to User 7's comment suggesting that the indoctrination/dream theories are correct?

IMHO, the Indoctrination Theory is the only way to move the plot forward in a way that doesn't seriously compromise the preceeding bits of story (which were awesome, btw, BW). The current ending is so nonsensical that the only good way to deal with it is to make it a 'non-rational' narrative i.e.: some sort of dream or delirium.

I think the word you're looking for is 'logical'. The whole spiel by Catalyst about saving organics by killing them is worse than 'unrealistic', it's a straight up non-sequitor. The Space Magic thing is a massive continuity error - also worse than simply 'unrealistic'.

If I was Bioware I would see about how to use the Indoctrination Theory and build a section of content after the me3 ending. They could give this DLC free and alter the cost of the other DLC by 50 cents to a dollar which would add up and cover their costs for making the Truth DLC.

This will be a win win situation where they don't have to re write their ending but add to it which will make both parties in the fan base happy and having the DLC free will calm the anger resulting in a fan base that will buy other DLC which right now they won't due to the endings as present.

By looking at the cost of production and selling of other DLC content this could cover this Truth DLC. Win-Win

My point exactly.
