I started thinking about it more and realized now that some of my irritation has died down (Don't get me wrong, I still think the ending of ME3 is ****** poor writing at best, and even if it's the indoctrination theory I don't like having my game stopped partway through. And at current Bioware is selling it as the end.) that Bioware has done this before.
With Neverwinter Nights 2 the canon ending offers no resolution or information about what happens to your hero and friends. Bioware released a 30 dollar expansion (Mask of the Betrayer) which had the rest of the story, an actual ending, and the resolution to the game.
Dragon Age 2 ends right when the main plot actually starts, and sets them up to release DA3 where you actually find out what happens.
So for better or worse some of their newer games have followed this trend, so I would not be surprised to see a DLC down the line that finishes the game. I also don't expect it to be free.

Neverwinter Nights 2 was released by Obsidian, not BioWare. And Mask of the Betrayer was planned from the start, it was not a response to the backlash from the original ending.

One hole in that: wasn't Neverwinter Nights 2 made by Obsidian?

Ah true, you're right. I forgot Obsidian picked up the sequel *Forehead slap.* Oh well
However, I didn't say ending DLC wasn't planned from the start for ME3.

Either way they **** up, if they try to play this off as having been their intention all along, that's going to ****** people off because they'll feel like they paid for an incomplete product. If they just admit they messed up and attempt a discussion to reach a compromise, things wouldn't be so bad...but nope. :I

Funny that, I disliked DA2, so sold it after I finished it. Never played the DLC, nor have any intention too. If that's the route they go with ME3, I don't care if it's not a precedent, I'll not be buying anymore BW games.
