We all get it. I was upset, sad, depressed but it wasn't like I don't have other things to do. I get attached to stories and characters easily but it's good to know when not to step over the line and let whatever happens in fiction interfere with your life. I hung out with friends las week, went to a party, got drunk and washed away the worst of it LOL so yeah take it easy man. Know the difference between real life and video games.
There are worst things in the world to get upset about.

For those who feel the need to tell us we should not be so devastated because it is "just a game"...tell that to our brains.
From a neurological standpoint, the human brain is UNABLE to distinguish between fact and fiction. It has been thoroughly proven by experiments. A stimulus that exists in a believable context will be accepted as fact in regards to physiological and psychological reactions. Even if that stimulus is not "real."
If that were not the case, we would be unable to daydream or...well...*cough* do other fun stuff on our own, if you get my drift.
For many of us, what happened there was real enough to actually hurt us. Don't diminish that. I have a "life" (what is that anyway?) and I was absolutely devastated anyway. Only began to get over it after writing my own version of the ending.
We placed our trust in Bioware and they stabbed us in the back.

Really?! It has come to that point where you have put so much of your time and emotion into a fictional world which only created the illusion of control that you are physically going into depression now that it's over? Wow, I mean... your lives must royally suck if that is what rocks you to the core. Maybe you need to start doing more things with your life. You need to step the hell back, take a deep breath and remember it's just a game. It's just a form of media. You should be praising bioware for even getting you to that point. Yeah they may have botched the ending in your opinion but look at how you're acting, which is like a child, they obviously did a good enough job to incite such emotions in you.
This isn't your life, this isn't your world, these aren't you actions, these aren't your friends. It's all an illusion that most of us seem to understand. They aren't sentient creatures we're interacting with, it's all a computer model. I know that it lets you step into the shoes of shepard and interact with the world but you need to step away from it. Detach yourself from it. It's unhealthy for you to be putting such emotions on something fake like that anyway. Next you'll be one of those people who tries to marry their Siri on their phone.
Calm your ******, take a step back, look at how you're acting over a GAME, take a deep breath and go start running around outside with a cape. It's the only logical conclusion. Game sucks? BECOME A SUPERHERO.

This is getting ridiculous. Losing sleep? Can't eat? What. the. hell?! Over-dramatic much? I understand maybe the first night/day being very confused and possibly angry but for days? Causing you to miss work or class or whatever. Really?

This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but can we not belittle people's emotional reactions to the ending? Everyone reacts differently and it affected some so much that it manifested physically. That doesn't make them pathetic or mean they need to "get a life", it's just a different reaction than yours. Why not just allow them to use this forum to express how they feel, like we all are, without making fun of them?

Tell that to the rabid fans who trash people for DARING to actually like the endings.

This. I have a life, thanks, and it's not much fun right now which is precisely why I was looking forward to ME3 so much and why the ending crushed me so much. People are entitled to their feelings, you might not know why it means so much to them.

Also there is hunger, poverty and worse things happening in the world right now and we're being THIS over dramatic about a video game ending. Well let's just say it's a good thing this stays here in BSN. It's good to vent and talk to other people who are disappointed like you about the endings but letting interfere with your life in this manner is something else completely. Get help.

I don't think most of us are trying to make him/her feel bad about getting too attached to a video game BUT if a video game is interfering with your life in this manner, where you can't tell real life from fiction? you need help, it's just not healthy. Whatever lines are being crossed need to be analyzed and a break is needed.

Being passive to illogical conclusions is how horrible events, actions, and crazy bandwagonning happen. Which ends up causing the entire forum to be locked like it was yesterday.
No, personal abuse lead to the forum being locked. It would be just groovey if people stopped being personally abusive, considering.

There's plenty of this happening on both sides. Fortunately, most of it is people bashing each other's opinion and not personal.
I just think you can't tell people what they are or aren't allowed to react to, and to what degree. Feeling this way doesn't mean they have no perspective and doesn't mean they don't care about things that are "important" outside of this game. They may just be far more emotional people than you are. A lot of people are reacting to this and it's very recent so those reactions are going to be at their most heightened state. We're all dealing with this as a community and I think we should just leave people to vent in their own way and try not invalidate any feelings.
Just an opinion. I'm not trying to tell anyone off.
