I want different endings, happy ending among them. There's been enough loss and desperation throughout the entire game, to add even SHep's death and loss of his friends/LI without the option to evade it.

I play a perfect paragon Shepard. I've spent hours figuring out how to save everyone. I'm the kind of person who managed to save my whole team through mass effect 2 without trying. I am a completionist. l If its there to be done, I do it. I went through the mass effect checklists when I was playing through ME1 and ME2 and then went back and made sure that there was nothing I missed. The Shepard you allowed me to create always found a way to save everyone or almost everyone.

So, I come to the end of Mass Effect 3. I have close to 7k War assets and over 5K effective readiness. The bar on my screen is completely green. I saved the Krogan, I saved both the Geth and the Quarians. I made sure that my crew had everything of the best. I did every single quest on the whole citadel. I even went back to a old save after a few hours of playing just so I could get the Specter war asset. Grissom academy got killed off and so I went back to rescue them. I made sure I did absolutely everything right.

I come down to my final choice and I'm given three choices. Ok whatever. Control, I'm anti-TIM and so that is not an option. Synthesis, turn everyone into a reaper? No thanks. Destruction. Yes, lets get rid of the bosh'tets. Oh, I have to sacrifice the geth and the mass relays. Stop. huh?

I go back to rework Rannoch. No dice, I check everything that I did through the whole game. Nothing even hints at having to sacrifice the Geth or that it's the trigger for being able to save them. Perhaps I missed something. However, I don't think so.

I don't mind having a sad ending option. A Pyrrhic victory option, a reapers win option. However, there is one thing I have been shooting for, the golden save everyone option. The one you get only after lots of hard work where you see all your options come to fruition and you save everyone. The one you cant get without doing a bit of meta-gaming or being like me.

So I sigh and destroy the reapers, the geth, and the mass relays. I'm expecting some payoff from all my hard work. The Normandy ends up crashed somewhere and I see my LI step off of it. The end cut scene then implies that we have not found them yet. I'm confused. I'm sure I managed to get something better then my crew stranded somewhere far away. Never getting to see my LI again.

I decide to come on the boards and see what I did wrong. I learn that I did nothing wrong. In fact I got the best ending. The real difference between my choices at the end is the color of the explosion.

Bioware. Lets be honest. What in the world?

I just want an ending where I'm not questioning why the people who did battle with me in London find themselves emerging from the Normandy after it crashed on whatever planet she found herself on.

I don't need a happy ending, i just want a conclusive ending that reflects my decisions and shows what happens with my team mates that are still alive.
I still am wondering how Vega was with me when that Reaperbeam hit us and ends up on that stupid planet at the end..
I want to know if Shepard is dead or not, not a cliffhanger at the end of a trilogie, which will never be answered.
I want to know if i destroy synthetic life and tech, if everyone from the galactic battle dies because of this or if they make it to earth.

I wouldn't mind it. The current endings aren't totally depressing but don't make sense which in a way makes it depressing since there is no closure.

Yes, exactly what i want. If I'm playing a full paragon Shepard, making all these "good" choices, I'd like a "good" ending that reflects my actions. If I were playing a renegade Shepard then I'd expect an ending that's bittersweet at best, but still awesome.
And of course an ending where I totally messed up and the Reapers win.

Yeah, an optional happy ending would be great. A range of optional distinctly different outcomes (you know, like Casey Hudson promised) would be very good indeed. Then your choices really do matter. Then I would actually be inclined to replay this game, or better yet, the entire series.

in this optional happy ending shepard lives, it would show reconstruction on everyworld, and shepard with his love interest and his/her children (where applicable), and perhaps shepard will FINALLY get the recognistion he/she deserves!  maybe that apology the council owes you!  that interview with EMILY WONG that was promised in ME1!

HOWEVER you would have to make all the paragon choices in order to get this ending!  achieve all of the good outcomes!

Like Mass Effect 2 you can die... depending on the choices made and upgrades acquired.

I wouldn't be against a happy ending, mostly I'd like the LI and shepard to be together if a happy ending were to come.

But mostly I just want vent boy retconned and a proper goddamn epilogue not stargazer. What the **** happened to the krogan, how about the geth/quarian peace treaty, how about you know, shepard. What about EDI and Joker? I don't care if it all ends horribly and everyone in the galaxy dies, just give me a proper ending not vent boy and his "What is your favorite color?" garbage.

I think an ending where Shepard lives should
A) be incredibly difficult to get
and
B) cost a massive amount of sacrifice. It should HURT.
