Let's assume one of these crazy rumors for ending DLC is true.  Which would you rather:

The Truth:  which would possibly re-write the silly Catalyst crap as an attempt at Reaper indoctrination

or

The Rescue:  which picks up at the end of ME3, with Shepard trying to stay alive while the Alliance comes for him

Let's not get into the whole "ahhhh, I can't believe you believe 4chan crap!"  I'm just curious to see which one fans would rather.

The Truth is a fresh chance for them to get it right. The Rescue would just give a badly conceived ending a chance to turn out a little happier. The flaws would still be there. So, the former.

The truth. Current endings should be totally rewritten. Rescue would be just a remediation.

Mmmm well I really liked the scene with Shepard and Anderson, but I'll take the truth, because it's the one that removes the star baby from the game, and that thing just tears apart so much of the trilogy.

I would think the minority that are complaining about those who are complaining about the endings would have the Rescue bit. But at the same time I believe they aren't devoted fans to the series and probably just picked up this title vs starting all the way from the beginning.

I'm pretty certain all hardcore or devoted fans to this franchise will go with the truth. Personally it doesn't make any sense to me to end the game like that and bring DLC to help "support" the essentially useless fight against the reapers and that bastard star child. That being said I'm in the truth / hallucination camp.

The rescue doesn't sound any better then what we already have. Not sure i'd want a dlc that is basically Shep set up in a hospital bed recovering. not to mention it would mean the ****tastic ending was real all along.

Would have loved to see a light beam down on shepard if she/he survives. A sign that someone had found them.

It really doesnt matter as both of those could potentially fix lots of issues people get with the ending. Some people are unhappy becouse of how it ends, some are unhappy becouse how it was explained (or rather how it was not), some from both reasons. I dont think that Catalyst "crap" was a bad idea in fundamental way. What I find distrubing is lack of proper explanation and link with rest of the story. Also them plotholes.

I find complains about lack of choice consequences in ending a bit irrelevant becouse basically entire ME3 is a huge summary of consequences of your past choices. I am OK that in the end you have to make that one ultimate choice. But I would like it to be better explained and also a bit more varied. All 3 endings while theoretically very different are practically serving you same thing.

TLDR: Both are fine as long as they release something.

There's no rescue dlc. How's ea going to sell that to ppl that didn't have Shepard live?

Truth.

EVERYTHING about the godchild scene was absolutely terrible. The quicker we pretend it was a dream, the better the series is.

I think itwould make more sense for them to use what they already have instead of making something completely different : the truth....

The Truth. The game is brilliant, but the conversation with the Catalyst and everything after that was just nonsensical. I rather have a bitter-sweet ending that's conclusive than a happy rescue ending that's still filled with plot-holes and pseudo-philosophical Insane Troll Logic.

The Truth.

It'd actually solve everything, and allow anyone who is happy with the endings as they are to ignore it, and the rest of us to get something we'd hopefully all be happy with.

Rescue is just slapping a band aid on a mortal wound.

This is not a situation Bioware should be half-ars*ing. We need the proper, varied, satisfying, comprehensive endings we were promised, and an opportunity to actually save the ME universe.

The Truth, I'd rather that whole ending part be an indoctrination dream, than it have been real and had the whole Catalyst/god-child/Normandy crashing on Gilligan's Planet.

but in reality, I'm still hold my faith in bioware that they will do something to fix this. The idea of holding off the remaining armies would be pretty bouse as an ending to a dlc.

Truth. Goddamn sick and tired of having 6 different characters played all the way from ME1 that I can't do crap with because it'll get me the same ending.

Getting more pissed off by the day, pretty soon I'll be demanding a DLC mission where you scan planets to find house building materials for your LI.

The Truth, but I wouldn't call it a rewrite. It's more a continuation of the current ending but explaining it as Reaper Indoctrination.
