If there will be a DLC/alternative ending it must / will be something like "The Truth".
"The Rescue" is just not possible, since when you chose the Synergy or Control outcome there is no Shepard to be rescued anymore...

The Truth, because that makes sense. That is totally set up by the ending, whereas The Rescue would mean Bioware has very poor storytelling and their story has tonnes of plot holes.

The Truth, since the description given for "The Rescue" sounds more like Shepard and crew get stranded on some random planet rather than the crew coming back to get Shepard.

The truth, the indoctrination theory people are throwing around on here would be a good way to tie everything together. Though any dlc that provides some closure and fills in plot holes will do.

Hands down 'Truth' for me.
Casey Hudson said he wanted the end to be memorable, not to have people remember it beause it was garbage. This is their opportunity to fix it.

Truth,
I still want a bleak depressing ending with a sense of closure, but also without tons of inconsistencies and plots holes.

Truth...and if I got enough forces, paragon or renegade, instead of dying during truth, I could get Rescued??? maybe have that drink with Garrus and Crew after all?
I mean, I feel like with ME2, if I do EVERYTHING, and max out everything that can be, I should be able to pull of a friggin miracle and survive the suicide mission with myself and my crew intact.....again....

The Truth. The ending is plain bad no reason to make it even worse and do The Rescue when Sheppard clearly dies in TWO of the three endings. Unless the rescue is rescuing the normandy? Even then, I'd still rather the current ending be redone cuz I's a beyatch that way I guess, lol.

Both, but the one that plays out should depend on what choice during the current ending.

The Truth.
And an ending that explains things, stays in-character and in-universe, and gives the player some closure with an update on the major characters. It doesn't have to be happy - I'm good with dark, tragic endings. I just need it to make sense.

The way i see it they should use ME 2's ending style as a guide, but make it more epic and awesome. I see basically 4 possible endings.
A) You royally screw up and the Galaxy is F**ked..Your crew dies, ship explodes and you die or suffer a fate worst then death (the Epic Fail ending.)
You succeed in the mission, but you lose some combination of the lives of your crew, and you survive (Survivors guilt ending.)
C) You succeed, managed to save you crew but you take on the ultimate sacrifice to save your crew and the galaxy.... (Blaze of Glory, Bad Ass ending, as in the kind of Sh*t they build statues to your greatness kind of thing. but is meloncholy because Shepard dies, and crew lements and mourns.)
and finally
D) You succeed in the mission, and through sheer force of Will, Balls and Luck, you manage to pull Everyone's asses out of the fire including your own and manage to live through it to celebrate. (The Holy Sh*t you must be the descendant of Christ you are so awesome type ending.)
THAT's the choices that you should be able to choose from....
