Well if there will be any Single Player DLC it actually has to be something like "The Truth".
Anything else would make great logical holes... see this thread social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/9984389/1#9987490

the truth fixes everything. rescue just makes the entire "dream sequence" real, which is bad.

I am not joking and am taking it seriously, i really think the ending should be something along those lines, maybe have a a couple of subsets of a few, maybe a few Bad endings to choose from, a couple decent endings, but there should be the "Epic Win you are The Shepard, Bad Ass ending." I mean you have to earn it, but its achievable.

We hope "the truth" fixes everything.

We could just be setting ourselves up for MORE disappointment, although I am also fully subscribed to the indoctrination theory so I'm inclined to believe that something like "the truth" is exactly what's coming down the pike.

I'm fine with dark and miserable as long as its only an OPTION, not forced on us no matter what.

That's barely better then the colour of magic endings we have right now, and hate.

Let those of us that played these games for the happy, uplifting, triumphant endings get our third in a row to round off the series on the high note we're used to, that we expected. Let us have our little blue children, homes on Rannoch, to share a few badass quips with Garrus and Joker, or hell, just enjoy a bottle of brandy with Chakwas.

These are just as valid as any grim dark ending, or a bittersweet one for that matter, and while some may look down on them for not being to their tastes or because they're enjoyed by the 'idiot' majority, what does it hurt to include it as an option?

Let's actually hope and demand that we ALL get what we want this time, yeah?

Yeah, I'd like something like that.  Anything that doesn't just boil down to picking a color.

Most importantly, closure.  For Shep and his buddies.

I can agree with that.

The truth - Assuming the truth is taking the"destroy" ending and waking up to realize the starchild was Harbinger messing with him and he still must do more to activate the catalyst.

Keep the catalyst, remove the "starchild" crap, add a DLC actually dealing with Harbinger and explaining why the Reapers do what they do. It can even be the same explanation, just told better and with better outcomes.

The truth. I hope they redo more of the ending though. I felt like the squadbased decisions lack in ME3's ending. The choice shouldn't be Shepard's only. Your squadmates should argue about it, filling in information you don't forget because the person who's telling you is a transparent kid.

agreed, my 4 endings where generalized, indicating what tone each ending should take. i loved ME2's ending possibilities, and loved the fact that you could have the Miricle ending where no one died. Just because you are that bad ass.

That is what I was expecting for ME 3, i mean bioware should be able to make lightning strike twice in this case shouldnt they.

'Truth' but with a caveat.

If this happens in a DLC, then it better be free. Anything else is a disservice for pulling a prank of this magnitude on their customers. None of us bought the game thinking that the 'End' was not actually THE END.

The Truth: go right way, destroy control panel, free yourself from reaper's control, breath, kill many reapers, fly away, land a planet, leave the ship (the captain leaves the ship in the last turn), trollface like in me1's ending) Everyone's happy)

The "Truth" because I get the feeling that the premise of the "Rescue" will just add more questions on top of the ones we already have. Essentially, T will dismiss the ending, while R will affirm and build up on it.

As another skeptical, hopeful player:

The Truth.

The indoctrination theory is actually not a bad ending (if it exists). it's fairly clever writing, which, if accompanied with DLC still has a chance to be spectacular. Given how good so much of the game prior to the ending was, I still can't believe that the ending would just come out of nowhere like that, rushed by EA or not

I want a boss battle, give me that target painter and allow me to call upon the full fire power of the armada to bring the holy mother righteous hand of god down upon Harbinger...

I'd take the one, where I can shoot space-magic-boy in the knee and toss him down the beam. Which one is that?

Give him a Geth Proton pack and Shep will take care of it..

"Whos the big furious reaper killing machine??"
"Shep!!!"
"Who is the man, That would risk his neck for his brother man?"
"Shep!!"
"Man, that Shep is one bad mutha...."
"Shut yo mouth."
"Aww, I'm just talking about Shep.."

"The Rest" where you wake up in a museum rubble, grab a bow and put and arrow to the knee of the kid.
