So yeah.. I have never trusted the Krogan, and I did/do support the genophage, but I needed to use the Krogan, plus I wanted Salarian aid as well, so yeah, I decided that I'll trick the Krogan so they'd help out the Turians. Everything was going according to plan Wrex, and "Eve" were non the wiser, and I had managed to gain Wrex's trust back since he found out I destroyed Malons(Maelon?) data. I knew I had to deal with Mordin eventually, the female Salarian told me as much, I just didn't think it would come to this.

Mordin.. Since ME2 he supported the Genophage. I thought the most I would have to do was a Charm/Intimidate test, I didn't think he would force me to go to such lengths. I shot him dead, with a Carnifex(Although I actually had a Scorpion equipped), and I didn't even hesitate. The second Shepard pulled out his gun, and had my finger poised over the left mouse button, and the instant I got the renegade option I clicked it, I didn't even hesistate.

I feel I did the right thing, and Mordin didn't leave me with any other viable option, but I feel bad.. I always liked Mordin since ME2, and it saddens me that things turned out this way, why the hell did Mordin pick now to grow a damn conscience?

So yeah.. I literally just did this a few moments ago, and felt I needed to say something about it. Though Shepards answer when the Admiral asked how I got Salarian aid did make me smirk a bit.

Also I noticed I'm a lot more renegade in this game than in the past two.

Have you seen the ending?

Let's just say you spared the Krogan.

I can't wait until the ending thing blows over enough so that we can talk about the rest of this amazing game. There's so much more than that sub-par 5 minutes.

I haven't gotten to the ending yet, but I know about them. I'm playing as if I didn't know, and I'm also playing in the hope Bioware will get me a DLC/Patch that will fix the ending while I'm still playing.

Wouldn't it be like having the Last Alliance die in LOTR, Sauron rule over all Middle Earth because he actually secretly totally had a second One ring and was trolling Middle Earth for millenia.

All that grand adventure, all the sacrifice, all the fighting, came down to nothing because nothing mattered. The Fellowship was for naught because the One ring Frodo had wouldn't destroy Sauron in the end.

Sub-par 5 minutes that reduces the rest of the game to a pointless exercise. It will never blow over. Not for me.
Part of the fun of discussing your actions in Mass Effect is thinking about the repercussions they have? What will the impact be?
Now.. it all leads to the same end.

If your Mordin is already dead, you can shoot Padok Wiks instead.

^This. The character interactions are so beautifully rendered and told throughout the entire game.

The ending is a mar on this, yes, but it doesn't ruin it.

Killing Mordin is so wrong, that even Harbinger is all like, "woah man, that's cold. "

You should have given the Krogan a second chance. They deserve it and you don't need the Salarians that badly.
Even Mordin came around in the end...

I was so sad when Mordin went up in the lift, knowing he will not come back ,sacrificing himself... it really made me sad...

Now I just watched the scene where he gets shot on youtube...how can anyone do such thing? Not Mordin.... :(

In all seriousness though, the part where he yells "I MADE A MISTAKE" is easily the most heartbreaking part in the game.

Could never do that.

However, I CAN screw Wreav over and feel good about it. What a dick.

How could you?
To bad, I lost him in ME2 and had to watch his tragic death on youtube. After this scene, I wanted to start a new game in ME1, but then i experienced the ending...

Fun fact: That gun you used to shoot Mordin was the same gun he gave you in Mass Effect 2. You then throw it away shortly after that scene.

You jerk.  :crying:

Nah. I felt guilty, and a pang of regret, but I'm over it. Still wish I could have saved Mordin, but the stubborn old fool wouldn't even give me an option, and what does he have to show for it? A hole in the gut.

Honestly, it's parts like this that make me wonder why the endings turned out so guddamn bad. They clearly showed that they are great writers by making you actually regret a decision. I personally, could never shoot him. Even if I was playing a Renegade, I could never shoot him.

Besides, haven't you Renegades ever watched Star Trek? You can get alot more done and win alot more allies through diplomacy and jumping through hoops then you can by just pulling a trigger.

Eh my ren shep cured the genophage as my renegade shep said to primach victus "I hate lies politcians and secrets!" (Yes that is a renegade line) The talk with liara in me1 about shepard being renegade made her calm down abit when it comes to putting holes in people(my femshep is still rather ruthless when it comes to mission objectives but if there is a way to save someone without affecing the mission heavly she will try)

Hence why I love the new reputation system I can roleplay how I want my bar is about 20-23% paragon rest renegade.
