I just did the Monastery on Lesuss and returned to the Citadel. Suddenly my 400000 was reduced to 27000. So I reloaded an now it's just 12700. What is going on? Any way to stop this from happening again?

From what I understand now, all my money was erased after the mission at the Monastery on Lesuss and the money I have now is what I have gotten since then.
