Illusive Man is & always will be one of my favourite video game characters. It was a fitting end.

I loved it, but I would have lied some explanation of how TIM was able to control Anderson. We get all these hints of him learning to control Reapers and husks, which kinda culminated in him controlling Shep, but nothing on controlling anything else. Needed a video on it in the Cerberus base somewhere.

Either that, or prior evidence that Reapers/Reaper agents with implants could control a single person's movements. As it was, it just seemed they needed some reason why Anderson hadn't hit the button and it became 'space magic' again.

See, the final TIM scene is why the starchild stuff is so annoying. We *know* Bioware can produce a great finale for a character - and following on the great TIM ending with the starchild rubbish is just rubbing salt in the wound.

The TIM scene only requires suspension of disbelief....after that requires suspension of logic.

The Tim scene was good, and the Anderson following scene was epic.

I thought it was a bit too short and I was disappointed that there was no option to side with TIM.

I didn't like it. It was a shameless Saren rip-off. Also the constant limping as well as getting cut off from my squad (who by all rights deserve to be there at the end) was extremely annoying.

Glad most of you share my feelings on the TIM scene =)

Loved that part, myself. It's one of the few things the Starchild scene did right too, in that Shep looked so out of breath and you could really tell how she was moments from falling over during the dialogue (which I suppose she also did in between the Anderson and Starchild scenes).

I agree with mostly everyone, the final scene of TIM was pretty much excellent, and it was followed by a great scene with Anderson. I actually liked the callback to ME1 at the end of it.

i think it would be more interseting if the ilusive man was actually not indictrated and would have been more compelling to me, instead of just a repeat of ME1 ending moments.

I did like it, my only complaint about it was that it was a retread of what we did with Saren.

Hell if they add the cut dialogue with Anderson it'll probably be my most memorable scene out of ME3. The problem is that what happens after Hackett calls you taints it.

I liked it but I thought it was too similar to Saren.

Amazing.

But I don't get where Anderson and TIM came from.

I loved it. I loved hearing Martin Sheen in his full pissed off mode. I enjoyed the dramatic tension between the three of them, trying to get him to stop what he was doing and realize he was indoctrinated. Sheen was so calm and collected, and he had it all under control, so seeing him just shout and scream was a powerful contrast.

Then we went up the magic space elevator and sadness ensued.

I liked it. It did feel a lot like Saren's ending...but I enjoyed that in ME1. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't have sufficient reputation at the end of the game to talk him down, even after finishing all the sidequests, so I just had to shoot him. But this time there was no reaper direct control takeover and boss fight.

it was pretty cool, i had no problem with it. my problems with ME3 began when shepard goes up that silly elevator, before the silly elevator everything was fine.

I loved the entire game up until the part when you start going up the elevator. that's when things stop making any sense

I didn't like it much either, if I'm incredibly honest. It was alright, and I could live with it if it, it certainly wasn't nearly as bad as starchild, but as with everything post Reaper-blast, too many plotholes!

  • How did Shepard survive the blast anyway? A similar thing kills him/her outright multiple times in the game, and from smaller Reapers.
  • Stumbing around as mortally wounded Shepard got tiresome quickly. And I had pathing glitches several times that made me have to do it all again (I know, not a plot point, but very aggrivating)
  • How did anderson get to the control before Shepard when there is only one route? A small one I know, but confusing.
  • "I've never seen this part of the Citadel before" While I can understand it's shape changing you'd think such a large, key are to the station would at least have been known about.
  • How does TIM "control" Anderson or Shepard? The Cerberus research was all about controlling Reapers and indoctrinees. Shepard has Reaper tech inside him, but Anderson as well? This is the one that annoys me the most.
  • Having to use a renegade interrupt to kill TIM and survive if you paragon score is not high enough. Why is it renegade to save the galaxy anyway? And why do you have to choose a renengade prompt not to die? I didn't choose it because I'm a paragon and "Game Over!" There should be a paragon one to shoot him as well.
Starchild annoyed me the most, but everything post-Reaper blast seemed a bit... off.

yeah, I also don't really get it how Shepard managed to survive a blast from a Sovereign-class reaper, namely Harbinger.

you see reapers 1-shotting most of the ships they hit with that beam, and they probably have much more powerful kinetic barriers and plating than shepard's armor. it just makes no sense for him not to be disintegrated by that

hell, even a dreadnought was 2-shotted by a reaper while you were running from earth

Really really good scene, makes you pity The Illusive man like you did Saren, he doesn't know he's been indoctrinated (like so many here on the forums :P), and that's sad because he actually does want whats best for Humanity. Also the performances from Hale, Sheen, and David were all sublime.

I see a lot of "nothing makes sense after getting shot by Harbinger" posts, so I'm curious to get some kind of idea of how the like ratios are here among the people who disliked the ending. Did you like the scene with TIM and only zoned out of the experience when the Starchild appeared? Or was literally everything after Harbinger a huge let down?

Personally I was hype all the way until I saw the Starchild. The scene with TIM and Anderson was absolutely great to me (logistics issues aside, but I didn't even think of that while playing).

I liked it a lot.

Wasn't crazy about the lead up (Harbinger blast), but the scene itself was good.
